The Racers Fiesta is also in the 2 for 15. Picking up a couple at lunchtime. I like those sets.

No bad, but I'm reluctant to use Argos as these boxes are very thin and easily damaged by poor handling and sticker removal. I've been buying via SaH and paying RRP knowing that I'll get factory cartons when ordering the max. A mint box more than makes up the £5 difference, thus:

I've not placed the order yet, but will likely order 20 of each separately to get as many promos as possible ?

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

The Argos item number stickers come off easily enough. Already got a stack of the fiestas from Amazon at 50%, will have some more at £7.50. Normal boxes are ok, selling as mint is asking for problems imo

On eBay I state, "may have some shelf wear" which gets rid of most idiots. As for my toy shop and emporium contacts, they have to be MISB. But, at least it's a face-to-face transaction with no risk of shipping damage. If anybody on eBay asks about the condition of the box and seals, even when already stated, I rarely reply or ask for £100 to get the box officially graded.

How did you get a stack from Amazon? Isn't the limit 3 at most?

There was no limits on some sets on 5 August for a couple of hours. They ran their 342 but didn't adjust sales prices first. So eg. the fiesta was £9.44 and JW T-rex junior £32.69 before another 1/3 off. Didn't last long before they pulled everything and they haven't had a 342 since

Appears to be a dead link, what was this for? Thanks.

EDIT... It's OK, I found them. I noticed that "Great new price" is Argoslish for "You can buy a better unstickered box cheaper elsewhere" ?

Strange, I copied the entire link!

It's for the speed champion fiestas at 2 4 £15. I believe also a creator 3 in 1 is on the same deal at Argos. ?

Disney castles still sat at £34 / 50%, come on Tesco, I want 75% ?

yep, I've been staking my local Tesco for the price drop too.

Not shifting at 50% off could be an indication of poor post EOL performance? I agree, 75% off or they stay on the shelf.

In one store with more footfall they were gone very quickly but the other store with less footfall still has them, I think it's always going to be hard to judge. Not sure a £50 Lego set is exactly what people might be thinking of buying when they're picking up their weekly shop.

Either that or the shop with more footfall has more Lego resellers/investors sniffing around it.

same here.....still waiting.  Have been checking every Mon & Thurs.
Got some rapunzels castle last thursday at 50% off.  Also cleared Auroras Castle when they went 50% last thursday.
The disney one is a bit more of a risk with the higher price and not retired.

Store I'm watching still showing 6 of these, 6 Jedi Fighters, 5 Porgs and 4 Dieselnauts in stock, highly doubt they exist but fingers crossed. I'm not sure if these will even go 75 now, it's been a long time. Might see yellow stickers before then.

Has been for over a month. Wait it out for the 50%, which can´t be far off.

Advertising it won´t help the case.

Judging by the sales last Xmas, it's still a good buy now. I shifted a lot then for £25 cash each. 50% off for something half-decent is quite rare these days, the last "gem" I saw at 50% off was the Elves Secret Marketplace where I really loaded up with multiple accounts.

The Friends Catamaran has been on offer for ages and is still not at 50% off.

I bought a couple of those catamarans for about £36 from Asda because I had thought that they would do well. Given how long they have been on LEGO Shop at Home, I no longer think that.

I'd break even on them asap if I were you, or can you return them?. I only bought the Dolphin Cruisers when they were £45 and 3-for-2 at Argos (before they got bad), but still struggled to clear RRP on them.... and IMHO, it's a much nicer looking set than the catamaran.
