In other news, I’m surprised that the green Mech dragon 70612 is still in stock at amazon for that price, when they were 40% off before they were wiped out straight away. I’m still holding out for 50% - especially now.

I placed an order on amazon however it seems it's not in stock although it says it is. Might be a glitch on there site or there expecting a big delivery of them soon. Imo I doubt this set will go over 50 percent off, I think this may be as good as it gets. If you can't wait for amazon plenty of argos stores still have stock at the same price however the boxes won't be great.

Argos has some Elves sets in store for good prices. 41190 is £7.49, and 41192 is £15.49. Quidco are also giving 3% cb. Very limited quantities left of these, so act quickly if interested.

No retirement in sight yet. I don’t think it will go below 50% either but there is time for it to get closer. All my recent elves purchases from Argos have been mint by the way ??

First round of Tesco clearance just hit! All of the special Christmas lines that were previously 20% off now have an extra ~15% off, and some items even have an extra 30%! A selection:

Now this is unusual because I've never seen Tesco do a national clearance price reduction going into a Friday. Normally it is done going into a Monday. The generic 20-30% off everything promo was due to end on the 29th, so I'm wondering if the prices will go back up on the 30th. Normally the Christmas clearance hasn't happened till mid January. Nothing too exciting here, I'll be waiting for the next wave in 3 weeks when hopefully things hit 50%.

Agreed the bigger sets need to go further (I've done nicely this xmas on the 76081 Milanos picked up this time last year for <£20).

However, some stuff is grab it fast and don't wait for further drops. For me its the BHeadz Harry Potter / Fantastic Beasts. Doubles are £11 and singles £6-£7.

That was a great price, atleast £40 cheaper than others on there. Think whoever listed it may of made a mistake with the price check their listing details on ebay. ?

Did they have the other sets on sale mentioned on HDUK? 21146 was maybe limited to only the largest stores. 

Picked up 3 x 21146 sets at £32.50 each would have bought more but boxes plastered with security stickers only found them in one out of the seven extra stores I visited.

Also 3 x 60167 at £29.70 and 4 x 41145 at £12.50 each plus a collection of brickheadz, best bargain the 41145 sets I reckon.

21146 at that price is a good buy IMO. Security stickers are a pain in the a**. Any best practices for removing them?

Picked up a couple of 3 in 1 Super Packs in Asda today. £12.50 for 31072, 60172 & 60180, will get that back on the Monster Trucks alone
