December 12, 20187 yr 75928 for £26.39 (RRP £49.99) when Asda had 20% wasn't too bad a deal, not enough to tempt me though ? IMHO, I think only 75932 JPVC has potential is it was discounted a little more. As it stands, I'm avoiding the JW theme. 15 hours ago, GregP said: Tesco had Go Brick Me Brickheadz set at £13 reduced to clear in store. I armswept the last 9!! Well worth a check. Already moved one of for £50 I'll be going past a couple of big Tesco branches to pick up Xmas booze tomorrow night and I'll see what's there. I no longer make special trips as the hit rate is 5% at best.

TabbyBoy, from reading some of your previous posts I gather we are from the same town. I agree our Tescos are mostly shocking when it comes to anything decent compared to what others post from around the country. But is just me or is Tesco really random? November 2017 in the Kings meadow store in the reduced section they had two Scooby doo mummy and one mystery plane. Felt a bit bad as a kid was guarding them but after a while left so I grabbed them. I left one of the mummy's set as the box looked like it had been used as a football in the warehouse. Think I paid less than £20 for the pair. Other random finds were about 10 Disney figures packets last year and some long retired Christmas bits. Can't remember which one.

December 13, 20187 yr ASDA are going in hard! Now 25% off over £40. Most of the good stuff not restocked since 20% off, but there may be some pickings to be had.

If it comes down a bit more to half price I’ll likely bite. Interesting that it's still available. Suggests either little interest, still too pricey, or that they have **** loads of them!

There wasn't even all that much when it was 20% off £50. I did pick up a couple of Friends Sunshine Catamarans for about £35 each, however. Everything else I missed.

The Monster Truck is tipped to do very well and should easily hit £25 in the afterlife as most good CITY vehicles do. 6 minutes ago, Gary81 said: Exactly! Half price will come. December 13, 20187 yr In other news...Argos phoned me about the Fire Station I ordered, they called to tell me that my box was damaged and would I mind waiting over night for a fresh replacement.

I looked at those, but going by eBay prices and what they would cost to post it didn't seem worth the effort. Cash in hand would be a different story.

Cash in hand would be a different story. I put in 4 orders of 4 (£314) with cash back which made each set £20, then I had a free classic pack with each order worth £20. Each of the 3 in 1 packs was in it's own shipping box. Collected them 12 days ago and sold them all for £39.95 and the last classic pack sold yesterday for £19.95 too. Worked out around £13 per box profit shipped and all I had to do with stick a label on them and take them to Hermes with the rest of my orders. Sold some on Facebook too which helped get the profit closer to £14 per box. No idea why people were buying them from me when Asda had them for £25.

I never put anything on eBay that's currently available elsewhere as I'm a business seller and have to allow returns. I'd be quite upset if I sold a 75192 for RRP +£100 only to see it sent back opened once JLP had it for sale.
December 13, 20187 yr I have 2 free O2 Priority codes for a free Gingerbread Man promo with >£10 spend, first PMs, first served.

December 14, 20187 yr Asda have restocked those 3-in-1 CITY super packs and I've just placed 10 orders of 10. I couldn't pass on RRP £49.97 worth of sets for £18.75 (62.5% off) and the Monster Truck is going to be gold I think. If worst comes to worst, I have a buyer who will take the lot for £25 each. I'm stalking Asda for certain Brickheadz restocks too ? Oh... that disgusting Porg is £38.97 which was very easy for me to pass on. No more O2 codes, but HUKD say that SaH are throwing in a free reindeer ornament. Edited December 14, 20187 yr by TabbyBoy

Try calling their CS and offer them 50% off for the damaged box - I would. A last, it seems like they're improving. Two years ago and they'd have sent any crap out even after kicking it around the warehouse for a while for good measure.
December 14, 20187 yr They certainly aren't improving. I've had 3 orders from them the last few months and every single box had been damaged. Not only that but they put those insanely hard to get off stickers all over the boxes. They literally just take the artwork off the box. Every single order I've had delivered I've had to send back. No more ordering for home delivery again only pick up. Forgot to mention the fantastic packaging they use, when are they going to realise that bags just do nothing for protection. Useless company Edited December 14, 20187 yr by raulaco

Useless company I share your frustration. I try to collect when I can so that I can reject on the spot. In the past, I've had to send away the Argos delivery guy with the packages as I refused to sign for anything delivered in a bin liner. I keep saying... it'll save retailers a lot of work and returns handling if they just leave sets in the factory cartons until a single set needs to be taken out. Boxes are also more environmentally friendly than plastic bags, I just don't understand it. I would never send anything to a customer in a cheap plastic bag. Asda and JLP are happy to leave sets in cartons until needed.
December 14, 20187 yr Any thoughts on Mountain Arrest (60173) for £20 (50% off) at Tesco? Seems to be going for £30-35 on ebay.

I couldn't refuse the package this morning as the yodel guy didn't even give my partner time to open the door, he just shouted package and then left lol. Box was of course in a opened bag and damaged, I now have 4 orders to take back to them tomorrow. I would also never dream off sending someone a Lego box in just a bag to someone on ebay, I always package my items as how I would want to receive them plus ebay buyers are very picky and your bound to end up getting a complaint. A big company like argos must realize that regardless if its lego or not there are people that will complain over a damaged box and just return there purchase, very bad business model. The thing is with them though I've got so used to the lego boxes having some sort of damage I'm happy to except ones that has just got minor, it seems to be near impossible to get one that's perfect. No problems with JL and Asda they both seem to do a great job. Funny story though with Asda, I happened to return 3 Jurassic set's on the spot yesterday and the guy had to open the box, while doing so the tape was actually attached to the lego box on the top and it just ripped the box all the way across. He just said well that's not good is it, my response (good job I was returning it anyway) lol. Edited December 14, 20187 yr by raulaco
