One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Haha, yes it's great when I buy Lego to build myself. But if I buy to sell it back to a UK buyer I have to pre-pay the VAT when I ship it! If I don't, Customs make the buyers pay the duty. That makes them very unhappy.

Used Lego is VAT exempt, right? So I guess it´s very profitable to resell nearly new sets.

John Lewis in the UK currently have 41078 Elves - Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle on offer for £39.99. Can usually be found elsewhere for around £55 and £75 in the actual Lego store still. No sign of actual retirement ahead of the 2016 line coming out. Nice set with lots of good parts for those who part out.

Ecto 1 available in Toys R Us UK for £29.99 currently. Still to build mine, waiting until I pick up GB Hq, but couldn't resist picking up another to squirrel away

Is that from a Click and Collect order?

Delivery.   OOS on all my local stores (East London / Essex)

Could be an indication that it's on its way out though,  If TRU are dumping remaining stock.

I got mine for delivery, but they seem to have gone now. A few dotted about at various stores across UK for click and collect (not sure how many at each though)

Ordered on Click and Collect, now showing out of stock at all local stores, got confirmation of the order but not that it's ready to go and get

Came up on HDUK.  Once its on there and its a good deal its game over :)
That said I've noticed that TRU online stock for c&c is pretty shocking sometimes.  If you're close by to one i'd say its worth a shot popping in to see what actually is on the shelves.

More info.

Typical - about an hour after I'd ordered a few from Asda/George!

Have now cancelled that order and hopefully (confirmation pending) reserved the last two in Peterborough.

Mine's being held until 9pm tomorrow, no mission of getting there until Friday. Think I'll have to give them a ring to find out how their definition of 'held for two days' differs from mine...

£10 off a £50 spend at ASDA. Sadly they have jacked up the recently low prices on some of the Star Wars stuff (and Ecto-1 seems to have vanished) but you can get Poe's X-Wing for £44.97 and Kylo Ren's Shuttle for £69.97. Arocs is £135 which is not bad either. Bunch of other stuff on there at varying prices - including the new Marvel sets which may be of interest to people. Delivery is £2.95 or free click and collect from your nearest store.

cheaper at asda mate £44.97

I have no idea how that Amazon link even got on my post! Mine was from Asda too, in reply to the post above. Some weird goings on in this forum I tells ya! I didn't even add a link, I just quoted the guy above. Very strange.

Edit - I'm guessing admin added the link (which I would fully understand) but they got the wrong website if they did.

Ha yeah I thought it was a strange seeing as though it was mentioned in the post above yours.

I was just checking ;)

Well that was a waste of time. Turned up for my Click & Collect order of 2 x Ecto-1s, and they only had one for me. Meanwhile the Asda deal's happened, and they've sold out. This swine's destined to accrue minimal value just to spite me, I can tell.
