One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Similar price to the Argos 3 for 2. I was tempted, but it's discounted by a lot of retailers so I'm getting bad vibes about it.

For the sake of a couple of quid, I’d take Amazon over Argos any day. The 42054 Claas Xerion was also heavily discounted and hung around for ages after EOL, but it’s now 2x on eBay if bought at the typical price of around £75.

Too early for me on 42080, only been out 3 months

I just hope it's not out as long as the BWE.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but looking back, I've noticed that some of the biggest Technic discounts are quite early on. I remember the 42068 ARV being -50% on Amazon very soon after release and hasn't been repeated since. It's a chance we take any set can have a short life like the Telehandler or last for eternity like the BWE and Porsche, which I think will both be turkeys. With a superb set like the Unimog still not reaching RRP, means that high-end Technic sets have to be >50% off. I think the forest thingy is worth a punt as I can't see anything like it being released again for a long time.

Top cash back gives 15% cashback at Lego.com today. Is it good or bad for Millenium Falcon 75192?

A load of sets at 40% off on Amazon today. Inc. Pirate rollercoaster!

Looks like we are now buying at less 40 per cent UK wide.

UK only...

I have an O2 Priority code for a free promo set (40303 - Boost My Vehicle) with a £10 spend. The first person to PM me (that's been nice to me in the past!) gets the code. I've decided that I'm not going to order anything from SaH in the near future so that code will not be used.

Gone!

Whole load of discounting going on at JL right now. Clearing out soon to be retired sets...
Be quick because many posted to HUKD already.

Discounted sets + free bundle set are the best deals, Winter train + tracks and NASA rocket + WoN.

Yep that's the deal to go for - i was in earlier for a couple of winter train set bundles, should be half price by the time the extra track is offloaded.

Just the one Saturn and WON bundle for me though - with no sign of retirement yet on the rocket.

I disagree. There were better choices.

Go on then, what are your better choices?

I´ll leave you to speculate!

This would be a very dull forum indeed if we all did the same thing. FW was extremely tempting until I looked at the ebay sold prices.

Not big enough discounts on anything else for me to bite - if the FW comes down any more I'll get a few for long term keep, though this will be well hoarded.

HUKD means lots of QFLLs so be prepared for a long hold. Even though I could put 99x Winter Train bundles in my basket, I put .... 0!

At least I have more willpower than I did a year or so ago. I even left the S5/WoN bundle alone - I already have more than enough.

If we see big discounts now, they can only get bigger and I can wait.

Bought a winter holiday train for personal - the bonus track bundle means it'll go nicely round the bottom of the tree ?

Luckily for our bank account GBHQ has sold out ?? also yes assembly Square mighty tempting at that price but I only just bought a brick bank ?

JLP needs an eBay outlet - LOL.

I’ve dug out the one I bought last year, it looks great when running.

£134.99 for Assembly Square is a very nice price.

there was a better choice for those of us working in Euros who prefer retired sets.

I was really just referring to getting one for personal build.
