One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Half price Ultimate Batmobile ordered from George Asda arrived...

battered box, holes / dents throughout outer box, loose inside main box (no padding) disappointing

That's unfortunate- mine came in a perfectly fitting box (no inner padding though) and just had a small ding on one edge that I only noticed on second inspection

that's a shame, mine is packaged the same, holes in outer box, the set box is good, there is a crease. I think this is a breaking set anyway for me, list the minifigs and search light for money back and then i have parts to either sell the batmobile or build something else.

£74.99 at JL too with limit 5 and repeat orders allowed. I bought another 18 today (6 orders of 3 for factory boxes!). It could well be reduced further, but it's already amazing value and won't last for years being a LEGO movie set. A dead cert £150 a year after EOL.

I think the UK RRP guarantees success. If leaving the EU makes things more awkward, we might have to resort to smuggling. Instead of bringing cheap cigarettes from Europe, imagine cars full of DBs going in the other direction...

No match for Bitcoin, though....

You may have noticed that the BP cryptofolio is recovering for the carnage of 2 weeks ago. I still think it'll be worth at least 2x those 20 sets by year end ;-)

Got mine yesterday, obv hit and miss as mine was mint although packaged as you describe.

I had really battered ski lifts from them before Christmas but mint BB8s since, so no consistency clearly.

Click and collect with Asda and I check before leaving the car park.

My last 8 orders from JL have all been mint in factory boxes. Just make sure your order in factory box multiples. I also never have sets delivered now (it's asking for smashed boxes) and always use C&C. LEGO the exception as I live too far away from one.

Speed Champions Ferrari 75882 for £36 at Entertainer. A rising star.

Thanks for this! Pre ordered. Anyone else heard any more about their order? See it's listed as not available for Home Delivery now.

I collected mine from store when they first discounted them, not built it yet, the box is in my office and makes me happy just looking at it :)

Seems the warehouse boy has the same high regard for TLBM sets as I do.

Reminds me of a joke. What do you call a pair of broken bagpipes? An improvement.

I dare you to tell that joke in Glasgow ;-)

Las Vegas and Glasgow have a lot in common. They’re the only two places in the world where you can pay for sexx with chips.

It looks amazing. A definite build if I do manage to land a set!

You'll get it, I'm sure. Let me know when you do.

This set will retire by the end of the year for sure.
It's gonna be interesting to see performance of this one, there are certainly a winners from the Ninjago theme from the past reaching easily 3-4x RPP after 2 years of EOL.
With discounts this set is even cheaper by it's counterpart from L.epin which is hillarious.

Bang for the buck, even if you will decide to bricklink away parts only.

which sets have made 4x rrp ?

fun fact.
There is a small online store in Estonia or Latvia if I recall which is still selling these for RPP :)
But the owners are not shipping abroad nor answering to emails.

That´s one set among 500 that have done nothing. Good luck to anyone who is able to  pick only the successful ones.

Despatched! ?

I've put an At At on eBay to cover the cost! Hoping it will sell for not too much less and that'd be a great swap.

Woah, not seen that one before. Nice!

42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter available for £63.50 from the Tesco eBay outlet. They seem to have a lot of them as well. Unfortunate, I thought this would do well on retirement but it seems not.
