One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

I´d flush twice and leave the window open for a bit.

Literally ? that thing is awful!

Debenhams have the retired 10566 Duplo Picnic at £15 (RRP £30). Far better than any TLBM offering.

Do really parents (buying duplo for their children) care what SPECIFIC set they get for some kind of infant? I mean arent they are like price-sensitive and buy whatever is the cheapest since these offsprings TRULY can no differentiate betweeen Jurassic collectable value and just some ordinary Duplo theme.. ?

Probably not and I don't care either apart from the fact that this theme is often overlooked for easy profits. I remember buying a lot of 10552 DUPLO Creative Cars from John Lewis for £4.99 each (RRP £14.99) and I sold them all with a year for between £25 and £30. What's more is that it's compatible with "normal" LEGO and I often use DUPLO for large MOCs if I need to build a thick wall or platform quickly.

Keep an eye out as Duplo can often be found at >60% off and nearly always exceeds RRP on eBay after EOL. The last "gem" was the £44.99 Jungle selling for £18 at John Lewis a few months ago. I made a killing on those within 3 months!

Some parents are prepared to pay through the nose for not-to-be-found-in-shops Duplo to keep Tantrum-Timmy happy and that's where people like me come in ;-)

thanks for that valuable insight.. but are you not a bit scared (knowing all of this) to stock (some) Duplo sets for later sales? As I pointed out.. in my perception smart parents know the value of Deplo sets for infants, how they can contribute to their motorics techniques etc.. but still .. they reasonably sense at the same time the duplo MEGA SUPER CAR is the same value as MEGA SUPER HOUSE... thus they are primarily price sensitive.

I've been struggling with mine. eBay sold prices have not got near RRP yet, some even under £30. Since this is such a big set to ship I've no idea how people can sell it at that price.

Hopefully it will pick up and at least I've managed to give 3 away as Christmas presents.

£74.99 at JL too with limit 5 and repeat orders allowed. I bought another 18 today (6 orders of 3 for factory boxes!). It could well be reduced further, but it's already amazing value and won't last for years being a LEGO movie set. A dead cert £150 a year after EOL.

Do you think so, even with all the sales we've seen on this set?

I've got two only but I may pick up more later on.

This set will retire by the end of the year for sure.
It's gonna be interesting to see performance of this one, there are certainly a winners from the Ninjago theme from the past reaching easily 3-4x RPP after 2 years of EOL.
With discounts this set is even cheaper by it's counterpart from L.epin which is hillarious.

Bang for the buck, even if you will decide to bricklink away parts only.
