But, C&C not delivery. HUKD? The sooner BP charges membership fees for privileged areas, the better! ;-) The HUKD brigade are really in the ball.

I've only ever had a couple of damaged sets from them (both in same factory box which was strangely undamaged - LEGO's fault?). I was offered replacements the next day, but didn't bother as I was about to go away for 2 weeks. They were train sets which I parted out and I did OK. Since then, I've always opened factory boxes as soon as I collect. These days, there's only one way to find out!

Almost went for it but just not sure about it as a set to build and not sure it has investment potential even at that price. My thinking too. Not worth quick flipping either. eBay is around £95 so after shipping and fees you're probably looking at a tenner profit.

February 17, 20187 yr Yeah, agreed. I've bought a few TLBM sets but only to build with the kids. Think they're over priced on the whole, as well. Bounty was only a fiver more but way more appealing. Edited February 17, 20187 yr by Lego Benito
February 17, 20187 yr Well I've only gone in for 1. Happy to take a punt. when do you think it'll retire? Released June 17, so surely good until this summer?
February 17, 20187 yr In the lego sale I've only managed to pick up 10254 winter holiday trains, no luck on anything else. buybin range £32 - £60 (each time with promos of some description that offset each price by £10 - £20). I think it's a Wonderful set. Once retired I see it being £125 easy. only question is whether it will return for a third year. Staff at Lego I spoke with implied not. On the other hand, these winter sets seem to have a 3 yr cycle and would make sense to keep the train in production alongside the winter station (though Lego did retire Ecto1 despite GBHQ showing no signs of retirement)
February 17, 20187 yr Winter train will definitely come back - all winter sets are three years long on the market.

February 17, 20187 yr They seem to have 2 winter creator sets live each season with a new one each year. So wouldn't a new one bump off the train? They won't have 3 sets running? the toy shop was around this year but v v hard to find. I can't deny that Common sense says 3 years... but you never know. even if I have to hold for over a year, I can't pass up £32 winter trains. I won't get them that cheap again.
February 17, 20187 yr We get a new winter set so the train may be departing. On the other hand, what use is a station with no train?

They've had 3 sets running for the past few winter seasons, but the oldest of the 3 doesn't usually make it past end on Nov, so winter '18 should see train, station and new set, with the train selling out fairly quickly.
February 17, 20187 yr I phoned Leicester Square and the lady on the phone told me they'd both be back at Christmas.

But not like some remake widely avaiable, but more like what they did with that limited Batman speedbike - only 1000 limited copies. So in this case I could imagine only 20.000 copies worldwide, available only 1 piece EVER per person in SAH - nowhere else.
