If a HUKD offer is still available after a couple of hours, there's a good reason. The problem here is that the Cargo Train isn't individually boxed so will be very difficult to sell as new unless a lot of time is spent parting it out. Also this has made the "retired" Train Station (boxed) a lot more available meaning that its prices are dropping. You'll need £110 from the unboxed Cargo Train to break even after fees which isn't possible until it retires. The huge 66493 box is too cost prohibitive pack and post IMHO. I think this is a no-deal unless it drops to £120 or less which just won't happen. A good deal for a builder, not a reseller - sorry. However, I've been topping up my 70618 DBs from JL as all arrive in factory boxes.

When I noticed it at first, everything except Technic Mercedes Benz, Millenium Falcon and Halloween feast was available.. I stuffed my bag with Ghostbusters, Winter Village Train station and few Beatles.. and went double checking brickpicker stats and sold UK listings on that.. and when I got back - everything was gone

this is interesting last year 50 % discounts started around the same time - the first Ghosbusters were on sale for 50 % on February 9, 2017 - so almost the precise day.. Perhaps you should mark it in the calendar next year that January 31 - February 10 you have to stick to the screen

It looks like another false alarm caused by yet another website glitch. See how all those retired sets were suddenly resurrected at 50% off? Yeah, right!

I bet none of us managed to order anything?

Are they joking? Almost all discounted sets are dead for a month + the sets, where is a button "Add to bag" available on a main page, are temporary out of stock.

Was anybody able to buy something?

Of course but you had to be there at the right time. Falcon was available a good 20 minutes.

I got most of the nice stuff into my basket case and was able to get to the check out page - but then I hesitated and went checking the stats. When I got back it was all gone. So I guess that if I hit the check-out button I would get everything in there.

BTW... I called John Lewis immediately to see if they can price match the Winter Station and Caterham 7. Here's hoping as they're done it before as soon as an item went TOOS.

No way... most of my dragsters were under £12 from Tesco/Asda/Dobbies instore and my last 392 Subs were £27 from IWOOT ;-)

I just remembered (the case with Ghostbusters above last February).. they pulled out the sale a couple of days earlier (early morning), Ghostbusters priced at 50 %, but around 8 am it was already out.. so I kept refreshing the sales for another few days and then voila! on February 9 after midning around 1 am the were again on stock and lasted perhaps and hour or two before definitely being gone.. so it could repeat again in a couple of days..

I think it could struggle. I thought that 86x 60124 Volcano Explorers for £29 each from Tesco was a good deal, it wasn't good enough!
