Just a theory based on no current retailers having any stock, backorder status and there are already 5 skylines.

My theory is no mainstream Architecture sets have ever retired in the summer so I´ll stick with that! Plus they range is quite slim now with the delay to Las Vegas.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Has anyone had any joy with the 50-70% off clearance at Asda in store?

My local had everything at full RRP.

£10 Transporter POD
£2.49 WW micros, Uwing + YWing micros
£2.75 75131
£2.24 41305 (thot i wiped them all out 2 weeks ago along with 41306, 41307)
£7.50 clayface
£2.24? 60106

I've found Asda to be more hit and miss than Tesco.

There's some decent discounts at Argos but there's only minor profits to be made.

I managed to add 41186, 41315 and a base plate 10700 for £21.99.

Makes two £15-17 sets £10 each and the base plate £1.99.

Bit of a faff but might be able to place a few orders.

A few Ninjago movie sets hovering around 40 to 45% off.  I wonder if this will be a standard reduction as there are too many produced, or whether they will be seen as a missed opportunity. I remember Ninjago pre-movie sets available for similar discounts last spring. I passed on most and now many of them are doing very well.

I like the sets, but there's just something about the word 'Movie' splashed on a box that tells me to be cautious.

I'e been wondering the same. It might depend whether the Ninjago film has a second wind in the future? Doesn' feel like it's done as well or been as other Lego films.

Lego 70620 Ninjago City £199.99 @ Smyth's Toys , for those who dont already know posted on HUKD.

thanks

70620 down to £199.99 at Smyths - 23% off.  Cracking piece, would have hoped for 30% off or more but I'd say this is the best I'll get.

Meanwhile at Lego store in Stratford they are going to be giving these away because they have so many of them.... a5e3d21d418a0ae8b18d415859171c50.jpg

And you get a 40178 VIP set forced on you as well.

I assume you mean AT and not OFS. That would be an armsweep at 50% off.
If it was OFS I would have done just that and gloated once at home... [emoji3]

£200 round trip to my nearest Lego Store so I am going as green as that Fishing store.

Toys R Us just had Assembly Square for £140 plus 5% cashback, but seems to have gone very quickly. Frustratingly, I don't think my order worked, as there were issues at checkout. I got an email from Paypal saying I've submitted an order, but nothing from TRU.

Can't use Paypal for TRU, I've never once had an order work with them paying that way. They're online orders are actually worse than SAH if possible.

I think you were asking about the TCB payments from Lego, I just got paid the November ones today. The TRU ones from the same period are confirmed, but not payable yet.

Strangely I've had a couple come through, but the earliest one hasn't. Fortunately one that has is the £43.33 from Ninjago City, which is the biggest one.

Please, please, please... Don't ever use PayPal for TRU. It took me months to get a refund after they sent me a bin-liner stuffed with trashed boxes. I also had to open a case for each individual box, not the whole order. It was a lot of work and stress, never again! To be honest, I now only use PayPal for eBay and F&F as Credit Cards are a lot less hassle with online retailers. Be prepared for cashback disappointment, especially if there's additional discounts and vouchers.

There is a £5 off code at Argos at the moment , might tip the balance on some of the discounted sets.

LEGO5

it was better earlier in week when the code glitched and gave £5 off each and every item and stacked with other offers , 2 for £15 etc. Maximum discounts worked on smaller sets obviously but some good savings could be made. Across several orders I got £268 for £88
