December 26, 20177 yr 2 winter trains and 4 winter vignettes i do like the winter train. I find it chat I g a different from the buildings used -£10 codes. Valid surprisingly. The codes didn't work during Black Friday discounts but are now.

December 26, 20177 yr Toys r us in store is a complete bust. No offers on Lego. Not much stock either.

December 26, 20177 yr Adventure Time’s cleaned out now. Will be watching this one’s progress with interest. Was nearly tempted but I leaned towards Brickheadz instead. Bit surprised they haven’t had their Yellow Sub stocks hoovered up yet - it’s on HUKD and has a dedicated link from the SAH homepage. Must have a fair few kicking around.
December 26, 20177 yr HDUK usually means it gets battered. But maybe not enough of a discount for HDUKers they often reply saying how shocked they are at the RRPs "but is only plastic" etc)' winter train gone now too

Somebody got to my local at opening time this morning and filled 5 trollies, the friendly girl at the till showed me the £20 off cards he had used, about 30 or 40 I would guess looking at the bundle. I was well peeved as they had plenty of the lighthouses 31051 in stock on Christmas Eve and he bagged the lot apparently. Thought they had set limits.
December 26, 20177 yr I think that brickset list is quite inaccurate. It contains also the sets that are gone for more than a month - like 42047 Technic

The top deals never make it on there as they're often gone before the next search.

Amazon has a very "interesting" approach how to deduct VAT for EU VIES companeis, several examples: a) Czech company in EU VIES system, order on amazon.de + amazon.co.uk - delivery address Czech Republic - VAT is charged b ) Czech company in EU VIES system, order on amazon.co.uk - delivery address Slovakia or Germany - VAT is NOT charged c) Slovak company in EU VIES system, order on amazon.de + amazon.co.uk - delivery address Slovakia - VAT is not charged d) Slovak company in EU VIES system, order on amazon.de + amazon.co.uk - delivery address Czech Republic - VAT is charged this is a total violation of EU rules. but Amazon is bigger than countries and I would volte that these massive scale companies should be liable for any fraudalent behavior in any state where they make business. Or better yet deliberately pushed to become smaller to become liable. In this situation you simply can not sue Amazon - you do not know which subsidiary and at which court. So the final effect is that Amazon + Yahoo + Google + FB are virtually impossible to be brought to justice. Amazon after lengthy discussions explained this VAT behavior with a statement, that they can not rule out that the specific order would originate in one of their fulfillment warehouses situated in those specific countries (Czech Republic) therefore they are obliged to charge full VAT tax.

It generally subtracts the VAT ok for Netherlands, but this particular "lightning deal" way of calculation is broken. It was supposed to be 31.88 GBP before shipping and at some 3rd step of checkout it reverts to 38+ GBP. Anyway, I can definitely live without this set...
December 26, 20177 yr Once I was also charged VAT while the destination was Slovakia (and as verified on numerous previous orders - should be without VAT).. I asked about it and was told that it was shipped from Czech warehouse and therefore they charged VAt.. so maybe in your case it was also shipped from NL center.
December 26, 20177 yr So Lego have advertised Boxing Day Only sale. What will happen to the unsold stock? Farm it out to Amazon, Asda etc. Keep it at 30%, then 50% after a couple of weeks (but then it's not Boxing Day only sale); Probably well off the mark here, but I am wondering if Lego (as supplier) have an agreement to be the only retailer to have a clearance on Boxing Day this year. I still find it strange that other retailers (Tesco in particular), are sitting on old stock and not reduced it. Very odd. Asda, Smyths, TRU, Amazon, John Lewis next to nothing for Boxing Day reductions? Really?
December 26, 20177 yr Limit 10 on Yellow Subs at UK SAH, but dropdown only lets you add up to 9, so they’re almost there now.
December 27, 20177 yr So Lego's "one day only sale" is still going on after one day? false advertising? Its certainly unethical trading
