The Darkseid Invasion 76028 is still £39.99 on Amazon UK. I'm seeing a lot of reasons to stock up on this set, but the lack of chatter on here regarding it worries me slightly.

Retired according to Lego UK, sold out on the US site, rumours of Darkseid's involvement in at least two upcoming Marvel films. What am I missing?

This isn't true is it? I've seen it all now if it is.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

On-shelf in Sainsbury's today:

75090 Ezra's Speeder Bike £13.33

75099 Rey's Speeder £13.33

76025 Green Lantern vs Siniestro £10

76039 Ant-man Final Battle £10

Not sure if those are good deals or not, but they caught the eye

brinklink value on 70413 is $183.
You think buying in at $58 for a $183 part value is duff?  Seriously.

Have you factored in the fact that BL values are always on the high side, and that you may never sell some of the parts, thus making it even less of a valuable measure to use?

Sure and I wasn’t stating that the BL value is the overall value of the set, the BL price comparison is just illustrate that a set containing 7 pirate figs, boat parts, cannons and associated parts is good value at 50% retail.

You could split the figs, ship hull/sails/masts/cannons and sell the remaining parts as new weight and turn a profit at £40.

Would have taken Ray and Antman, Ezra a maybe, there are a lot about, it may pair well with Kanan's Speeder later.
Sinestro, 50% DC with unique figs, but likely low demand, probably better places to put your money if limited

I think you're right - money would be be made there. Not a crazy amount, and a bit of effort, but probably worth a pop

MTT would be the one I´d get at a push, but then you need 2 because otherwise you pay shipping. I don´t think any of them  is worth risking the ban hammmer for, though.

I ordered 1 MTT, plus one minifig from Series 15 to avoid the shipping costs. Considering my order history at LEGO Shop at Home over the past months, ordering 1 MTT now is completely regular and fitting in with AFOL Star Wars fan behaviour.

The Dutch Brickwatch website already alerted me in the morning about the 50% reduction of several sets including the Brick Bounty and the MTT. I had visited LEGO Shop at Home through my phone in the morning, saw the reduced price but no order button. Then this afternoon when the ADD TO BAG button showed up I managed to complete the order of one MTT.

If you think that would warrant a ban hammer, you're being paranoid. :P

Picked up 3 red go karts 31030 at sainsburys for a fiver each. Happy enough with that, i took a trip to asda and found 2 more. went for a price match and they refused. BOOOOO!!

Creator 31031 Rainforest Animals were reduced to clear at £6.50 (usually £13) when I popped into Sainsburys today. Cleared the shelf out for x 7 of them. Went to another large Sainsburys not too far away but someone had already cleaned them out. Not exactly the Birds set, I know, but at that price there's gotta be money in it :)

Wrong number ;)

Almost forgot as just went online to check RRP prices of stuff I picked up today from Sainsburys after having to package some non-Lego related Ebay stuff this evening. Grabbed 3 x  70737 Ninjago Titan Mech Battle from the same Sainsbury's as the Rainforest Animals. They were reduced to clear at £12 each from an RRP of £40. It's all good :) They must have reduced to clear some extra stuff at Sainsbury's in the last few days. Worth a look.

Have never heard of the website, but intrigued to see a set this old on general sale (released 2010, retired 2013) - and a tenner under RRP.

Not exactly double-your-money stuff, but there's money to be made to long as they don't turn up looking like they've been sat in a puddle for three years. It's been usurped by the fancier 60050.

7937 - Lego City Train Station, £49.99 (RRP £59.99)

Can't see the site images on my phone - can only see the text. The description definitely matches 7937.

That said, I've misread the RRP on 7937 - Brickset has it at £35.99.

Also, doesn't 60050 retail for £49.99? So at least two things are off.

I guess the term buyer beware should come into play here.

Correct @ GBP 35.99 for 7937.
Correct @ GBP 49.99 for 60050.

If you really want to get that set you'll find it way cheaper. I know in the Netherlands it is now available at Bol.com for GBP 30.08. Although you'll most probably find a better offer in the UK, you can get it for example at Conrad UK for GBP 39.99.

I know not many of you are interested in Duplo investing, but you might want to take a look at Amazon.de set 10577, Duplo castle. It's currently at 26 euro: 60% less than Dutch MSRP.

Good for a quick flip.

I just picked up a 76025 from my local (Biggleswade) - the Batman figure looks intriguing.

Even more intriguing though was in the clearance section - they had two of the Duplo Fire Station (10593) at £13.50 each, both in perfect condition. Label said RRP was £29.99, but the size of the boxes gave me cause to check Brickset, and sure enough it was wrong - it's down from £44.99.

Looks like they sell well on ebay over £30, so hopefully an easy flip when the mood takes me.

The Brick bounty flew out of my cart while ordering..... :lolu::lolu:

did managed to retrieve MTT with Qui-Gon Jinn....

Got two bounties at first but recieved an email from lego today stating that there are none in stock, MTT's confimed tho.

I had ordered one MTT and a Series-15 minifig to avoid the shipping costs.

Received a shipping e-mail today that the minifig + free promo set have been sent, while the MTT is still being processed. :P

MTT is 'in warehouse' on my order.

There have been some great offers in Sainsbury's and Asda the last couple of days. Grabbed around 10 Rey's Speeders 75099 for £7.99 each from Asda this morning along with the Green Lantern sets RTC to £10 from £20 as well as other good stuff from both stores. Probably be quite a few out searching tomorrow but I'm all done for this week with a decent haul.
