Sales are such a damp squib everywhere so let's hope the post Xmas sales help. Maybe TRU will have a liquidator's fire sale? The 50% off was after New Year

December 20, 20177 yr I think if it's as normal it will be a 30% sale first and whatever doesn't get cleared will go to 50%

Does anyone think this will be the best offer this set will have or do you think it'll be cheaper else where soon? It has been available for less recently (e.g., from TRU or LEGO Shop at Home with the cashback promos), though I doubt something similar will appear again before this retires. You might also wish to look on eBay for any auctions, as they often end at around £180 - £190. If this set does get cleared at 50% off I'm getting in on that action. Already got one for £140, but the box is ruined (knew when I bought it). Edited December 20, 20177 yr by Captain_chaos

December 22, 20177 yr Been to Tesco today and they are knocking out Hot Wheels advent calendars for a fiver and VTech Toot Toot advent calendars for £7 (both RRPs are £25). Not Lego but worth a mention. Edited December 22, 20177 yr by Villager Chris

Not Lego but worth a mention. I just popped into Reading Extra to pickup my C&C and saw 6x Star Wars advent calendars for £6.25 each at the end of a pet food aisle! I didn't buy as the boxes weren't 100% and they need to be for an advent calendar. Another bloke behind soon swiped the lot. No problem as feeding my Tabby friend comes first! It goes to show that there's still instore bargains. BTW... my "20,000 extra points worth" of C&C were all mint even though all in bin liners ;-) At least they take more care than most.

Mint in bin liners?! My sons Ninjago ship is squashed to a pancake and we don’t have another to give him for Xmas... Hope the bits are all ok inside. Still remember my bent LEGO hull piece I had thanks to their careless handling (typical was the one piece I didn’t have a spare of!).

Still remember my bent LEGO hull piece I had thanks to their careless handling (typical was the one piece I didn’t have a spare of!). Sorry to hear that. Since the box is squashed, can you just check the contents anyway? I doubt a young lad would worry about the box too much ;-) I had a squashed Destinys Bounty from Amazon and it now gives me a good excuse to build it. Oh... they gave me a £20 voucher when I mentioned it. Perhaps Tesco may do the same? I must admit, I only ordered all Yellow Submarines this time and those boxes are more robust. However, they were all bubble-wrapped in packs of 3 (3 to get over £120 for 2000 extra points!). Packing seems to be pot luck this days.
December 23, 20177 yr Check your local Poundland. Reading (Broad St Mall) had Snow Globes for £10, cleared the lot! I don't know where these come from as O2 were offering them as promos with code from SaH a while back.
December 23, 20177 yr Quick, before HUKD sees it: 41126 Heartlake Riding Club is £27.50 on Amazon UK, limit 2. I couldn't order as going away soon ;-(

December 23, 20177 yr I'm not expecting any fireworks on Boxing Day. Went into John Lewis (Nottingham) today and Lego shelves very empty. Definitely no glut of lines that need clearing. It's good news though, if deep discounting days are coming to an end and Lego is become a leaner machine. Note the new Nexo lines for sale! Edited December 23, 20177 yr by Villager Chris

December 23, 20177 yr Leftover nutcracker promo on sale at Lego stores in London. Going for £9.99. There was a huge stack of them. I passed since none of the recent freebies has been a joke run.

They can't shift them as a free promo with a decent purchase level, they have resorted to selling them? seems unlike Leicester Square, they will usually give away old promos if they have stock
