I'm  still not convinced by 75104s even at £45.

I know, i only bought 3 of those. The great thing about asda is that you have a 6 month window to make returns.

These offers are technically risk free unless you're buying new sets. I returned all my Tie v A-Wings back  in April thanks to the large return window :)

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Done at Asda, 100x 10804 Duplo Jungles ordered for pick-up on Monday. Once the order is acknowledged, I'll make some calls and flip them the same day!

This is the perfect "thinking outside the box" set ;-)

I'm lumbered with 8 of those... 2 were £25 though.

A couple of very closely guarded customers who run independent toy shops. You may well call them clowns, but I'm going to get a lot of £20 notes of them soon ;-)

Don’t they know about the deals available?

Only if they knew about BP and HUKD, who am I to tell them? ;-)

The one I pass most days is at "The Meadows" off the A30 is an Aladdin's Cave in December (I'll be there as they open tomorrow morning for 3-for2!). Even though Reading has 2 huge "Extra" branches, they have a small LEGO selection, but any sets with good discounts are on separate "sale" aisles which aren't always easy to spot.

Some Tesco branches have the habit of putting next year's CITY sets on the shelves before LEGO even list them on their website! I did well last year as I cleared out all the Sweeper Excavators and Dragster Transporters (£16.67 each via 3-for-2) from 6 different branches and sold the lot within a week for around £40 each Worldwide - AKA "Turbo Flipping" ;-)

Oh, I did the same with the Pizza Vans so I know there'll be a market when my new lot arrive from JDW.

.. dont you feel bad for financially-impaired children that you took away their loot? ;)

Perhaps they are more interested in paying cash.....

No change in Tesco :(

Why have 3 for 2 with limits when you can have 50% off on as much as you want at Asda?

George is busy tonight as there's a big difference berween each of my order numbers as we could expect a total wipe out of the good stuff before dawn. Tesco's been a damp squib so I'm off to bed and will probably now have nightmares about being attacked by giant plastic jungle animals!

Don't dilly-dally as the HUKD riffraff will be hot on your heels!

No, because it's Mummy's and Daddy's money and they're prepared to pay my current price ;-)

I think we should email CS at LEGO and tell them that ;-)

how much you expecting for the jungles ?

I'll ask for £32 each and expect to be knocked down to £28 each for £1000 instant cash profit. I could get RRP (£45) on eBay after EOL, but I'd rather just get it shifted. The main problem with 10804 Duplo Jungle is the higher postage costs because it's just 1cm too wide to fit in a small parcel box ;-(

Tesco will have to dump their returns and dead stock some time, but probably a third off not a 3 for 2.

I'll still log on to Tesco in the morning.

G'nite y'all !!!

...I was doing so well, then the ASDA sale came around and I’m left feeling like the alcoholic looking at his empty whiskey bottles first thing in the morning...

Is LEGO an illness or just an obsession ?

I have one early night because I'm up very early for work, then whilst I'm asleep some crazy ASDA offer emerges. I wake up and all of the very good stuff is already gone. Nothing else to see there really. Some good offers were had by some though obviously. Nice one :)

Too soon for Tesco to have a 3 for 2 after the last one. When they are too frequent, they lose the impact.

As its payday weekend, Tesco are hoping to shift a few at current prices. Then I think we'll start to see some clearance prices.

I missed Asda, apart from buying a few more Frozen Junior sets at £9! On the earlier jungle theme, 60161 looks good value at £40 (Amazon, 53% off),
