Maybe they're doing another one because they didn't shift as much as they were expecting with the last one. No surprise, given the boring prices.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Wont really be so much a matter of price maybe, more a case of will there be anything left worth buying by the time they get around to it.

I like the boring prices. It gives me a chance to pick up the sets I want (that are rarely discounted) at a price I like, without the hoard.

That's a no brainer, well done. I bought a 60104 Airport this afternoon in a slightly tatty box for £30.

My Tescos only does sets up to about £30. No joy for e getting 5 Police Stations then.

Is it an "Extra" branch? You need to go to a big Tesco to get the good deals.

My Extra still doesn't have very many sets available.

The one I pass most days is at "The Meadows" off the A30 is an Aladdin's Cave in December (I'll be there as they open tomorrow morning for 3-for2!). Even though Reading has 2 huge "Extra" branches, they have a small LEGO selection, but any sets with good discounts are on separate "sale" aisles which aren't always easy to spot.

Some Tesco branches have the habit of putting next year's CITY sets on the shelves before LEGO even list them on their website! I did well last year as I cleared out all the Sweeper Excavators and Dragster Transporters (£16.67 each via 3-for-2) from 6 different branches and sold the lot within a week for around £40 each Worldwide - AKA "Turbo Flipping" ;-)

Oh, I did the same with the Pizza Vans so I know there'll be a market when my new lot arrive from JDW.

In my experience, there's 'extra', then 'EXTRA'. The Weston Favell Tesco Extra in Northampton is absolutely huge, possibly twice the size of some more regular ones. I'd expect that to have an excellent selection.

Hmmm. Never thought of doing a midnight run to tesco extra on 3 for 2 night.

Much more fun to waiy outside in the cold from 4am - true brickpicker style.

i did last year and it was too early, I went at 07:00 instead and filled my boots. I'm looking at prices now and some sets are an absolute steal providing that they're not hiked back up at 23:59 and 2-for-2 and not 3-for-2. If it's 2-for-2, I can't be bothered going online and will raid my local stores instead.

Please... DO NOT post any Tesco offers on HUKD or they'll be wiped out in seconds!

Yup already got my target list. Just hope it's not another night where its nearly 2am before the site starts behaving.

10704 is OK for a tenner, I guess.

I'm not mentioning any specific sets on here.  They'd only get posted on hukd within 10 mins.

Too late, it was posted days ago on there.

The 1/3 off offer ends on the 18th December, so the 3 for 2 and 1/3 off will overlap. This is the one.

I know, I mean any "new" cracking deals that crop up like pricing errors. I've got my shortlist ready to go. I'm not prefilling a basket this time as it just caused more hassle than it was worth.

Less for HUKD is more for us!

The worst thing is the bank fraud check after you've placed your 6th order in 5 mins.

I've got several cards and spread the cost to maximise card loyalty points ;-)

Tesco aside, anyone tempted by Lego Juniors 10736 (Asda) or 70353 Nexo (Amazon)?

Judging on sold price, instant profit on each and both on last legs I believe.

Seems a few were as it is now gone from Amazon. I´d really want 65% to be safe on Nexo.
