I ordered some yesterday for collection. Just picked them up and they went through on 3-4-2 so all good.

Yellow submarines? I've still got the reservation so will ask on collection.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Yep subs

As you ordered before the offer were you simply hoping they would be one of the badged sets?

Order before, collect during - that's a useful tip.

The yellow submarine was purple badged so reserved 3. Noticed there was no discount on the confirmation so logged out and back in. Badge had disappeared.

Strange. I've just checked it in the app and still shows 3 for 2 bashing.

You're right so I've taken a screenshot. The desktop site has it badged as 'Clearance'.

Yeah, just hoping. I usally do this with the argos 3-4-2 to save the rush in the morning. Also sometimes they increase prices overnight so if somethings reduced before the 3-4-2 order it and screen grab it to show the cashier.

Did this in the July sale. Argos moved stock between stores to fulfil orders which I didn't end up picking up because they were excluded from offers. They'll learn.

It's lenient of them to honour orders before the promotion, even more so if they accept the pre-hike increase.

If you do click and collect, then select pay in store the promotion is automatically applied at the checkout, and the cashier would have no say. It makes no difference when the order was placed in this respect.

As for getting them to match the price at time of ordering ive done it a few times and never had a problem.

Is Argos treatment of boxes and packaging still the same? I only ask as it could wipe out any 3-for-2 savings if it's still piss-poor. Most UK re-buyers demand a perfect box or basically want it free!

I've sold several sets with quite significant box damage and buyers don't seem to care. Sure, we'd all rather a perfect box, but if the set will be built a £5 saving for a damaged box will win.

The plastering of stickers covers it.

I thought as much. I’d only buy from there if I was building or parting out. Asda/George still the king of packaging.

All of which come off easily. At least on the ones I got recently.

If only Smyths stickers were as easy to remove. Why on Earth do retailers do this as they only face more returns?

Anyone making an order from LEGO Shop at Home for the double points and promo, cashback from 'a certain website' is currently 7%, so don't forget that too.

Just the winter station and some light bluish-gray 32x32 baseplates for me. May hit the 'Pick a Brick' later as i need a load of parts.

The 7% is from the other one, which for some reason must not be named on this site.

I use the affiliate links as Ed/Jeff need all the support they can get. I understand that no CB site should be named ;-)

Does anybody else in the UK have this problem when trying to redeem VIP points today?

Screen Shot 2017-10-10 at 12.28.03.png

If I don't redeem VIP points, the oder goes through to the end.

This is becoming a very common and annoying error as I hate being kept on hold for eternity just to order one set.

Before you ask... No, I was not using a cashback website.

I just placed an order on the German site without a problem.

UPDATE - You don't get the error above if you pay by PayPal.

Shame as I recently offload over 500 baseplates at less than £3 each ;-)
