July 26, 20178 yr Speaking of 3 for 2's, Argos are doing theirs on Friday. Even though most of use avoid Argos, Amazon usually price match them. Argos have increased all their prices accept for the U Wing and AT-ST, these will be dirt cheap if they keep the same price.

There was one last year at the same point. Tesco usually have one in close proximity to squeeze the Argos/Sainsbury's alliance.

Stock is going to be a bigger factor, seems to be only 1 At-St across all ten stores in Dublin, not much better with the U-Wings. 35 minutes ago, Fenix_2k1 said: I was expecting one at the end of July. Few bits worth picking up now, but probably better to hold and see whether prices come down for the seasonal push before the next 3 for 2.

I'll only be purchasing if any offer hits those numbers. If they get even cheaper later in the year I may double down to reduce overall buy in.

Hoping the prices hold, there are a handful of sets that take my fancy.

July 27, 20178 yr Argos 3 for 2 is official. Announced on Argos twitter feed. Not a lot to go at but some things worth picking up unless prices adjust overnight
July 28, 20178 yr Argos 3 for 2 is official. Announced on Argos twitter feed. Not a lot to go at but some things worth picking up unless prices adjust overnightNothing of interest in 3 for 2 Only full priced items included in 3 for 2. No pricing errors that I can see. Although will be picking up a few items not in 3 for 2 that are good deals on their own.

Seen a couple of other cheap deals ie below rrpplus 3 for 2 but not sure I want to pull the trigger on them. Bad news for argos though. I've had them move a lot of stock between stores last night in anticipation of this being across all Lego sets and they won't be getting picked up.
July 28, 20178 yr Damp squib at Argos and nothing floats my boat due to most of it being at RRP before 3-for-2 and, of course, the stickers on crushed boxes. Hopefully Tesco will have a good sale on soon, but I'm only after a couple of sets anyway.
July 28, 20178 yr If anyone is interested, 75150s (Vader's Tie vs A-Wing) are currently available from Tesco Direct for £30.50 each. This combines with the clubcard points when you buy Lego offer. You get another 500 points (£5) if you buy one, and another 1000 if you buy 2. This effectively makes the price £25.20 each (when combined with regular points). Now this set is a bit of a turd, and I already have 6 of them, but for £25.20 I couldn't resist getting a couple more. Can't go wrong for that price. Edited July 28, 20178 yr by Captain_chaos

HKUD has posted quite a few deals this evening including Amazon. I've no problem avoiding 75150 (I have none) as I think it's a really crap set which I don't think is worth buying at any price unless I needed the parts. The 41106 (Pop star bus) was also dirt cheap and I struggled to shift mine even at 60% off ;-) If retailers are struggling to get rid of crap, what hope is there for us?

I can leave a small pile of these for a while, whilst retailers are forced to wash the turds off their shelves for fear of contravening health and safety laws (or something like that). This set sells, it isn't that people don't want it. There is just a massive oversupply at the moment, combined with bottom feeders who either haven't done their sums or are content with £4 profit per set.

Bonus 500 clubcard points with over £30 purchase etc etc. Even better if you get someone with staff discount to grab you another fiver off purchase price.

AT-ST was half price as well

August 4, 20178 yr Argos is offloading some stuff on ebay for 50% off and more however the official website shows unchanged RPP so dont use it as a difference. They must've already gone by time I got there. I didn't see hukd post until afterwards. I was just doing my daily checks and happened across them.
August 8, 20178 yr Just wondering if anyone has any tricks of the trade for locating discounts. HUKD plus the Daily Lego deals are my go too. Are there any channels other than manually looking??? Want to be able to give a little back to the BP family should I find anything but I'm to slow off the mark
