I think it's pretty safe to say all TFA sets have been way overproduced. Still, this is one of the nicer looking sets and they don't take up that much space.
June 14, 20178 yr As I thought would happen, SAH have now reduced most of the retiring sets to 30% off. Still cheaper elsewhere though. I think the sets no-one wants will hit 50% off in July. Anyone remember Price Drop TV?
June 22, 20178 yr Saturn V back in stock at John Lewis - comes with free dents from the lousy packaging

Order 1 and it'll be in a bin liner and knocked about by My Herpes ;-) I took my squashed one back to JL in the end and they let me keep the voucher! If you see a damaged 12S7 at the Reading branch, it's probably mine. I was thinking of ordering 2 to get the factory box, but it's hit or miss so I'll wait for LEGO and get the VIP and promo (once they have something decent).
July 6, 20178 yr The retired Friends Adventure Camp Tree House is £32.99 from Argos. A good price for one of the bigger sets. Jadlam Racing Models have some Lego discounts - worth a look.

JRM can be good when Tesco have run of stock in good deals. The "true" RRP of Friends sets these days is -50% ;-)

Not a website deal. Probably gone now but worth checking in your local branches - if you have one! - to see if they have anything.
July 7, 20178 yr smyths toys have a £5 off £25 voucher code with Amazon price matching most offers. I've used it to pick up some investment sets for my target prices. I expect Argos and Tesco 3 for 2's within next few weeks.

Actually that's annoying, because I've been waiting four months for Stephanie's House to drop below £40 so I can get it for my niece's birthday this month. It didn't drop, so I had to buy it. Three days later I can get it for £39.99. Typical.

Always the way, had the same with a Ninjago set that I ordered from Amazon 2 days ago that just got even cheaper.
July 9, 20178 yr What's stopping you returning sets if you can buy cheaper soon after? I do it all the time ;-)

I have on one occasion not collected an order when a cheaper offer has come up but if something has been sent to me I won't return it because price dropped. I'd rather save my returns for when they are actually needed, battered boxes etc

You have the option of asking Amazon to price match their own price if the period is short. However, as you already mentioned, Amazon metrics only allow a certain number of incidents before your account gets banned.

Item ordered July 4th (cost £45.58), posted July 6th, and arrived July 10th. On July 7th, Amazon dropped the price to £39.99. If I had contacted them on July 7th, payment would already have been processed, so what would they have done - offered a gift voucher for £5.59, or done a partial refund? Update - I asked Amazon customer service if they'd consider doing the above. I was told: "Normally, In this situation, I'd refund the difference of price for this order, however I am sorry to inform you that we are not authorised to refund the difference." Oh well! Amazon used to refund the difference if their price dropped but when i queried it last year they said i would need to return the item (me paying return postage) and buy again. I did this and it still worked out £15 cheaper. Wish i had kept the original items as they were a couple of 75904's.

Must be listening to too much negative vibes, but I won't even be picking it up at the new price (€30 here). I think this, Encounter on Jakku and Battle on Scarrif are terrible sets. On a different note, what's with the Lego Batman Batmobile on all the Amazons, they have it real cheap and the description is right, but the picture is of the Joker Balloon set.

I think Jakku is the best of these due to the Luggabeast. The rest only have individual minifigs to lift them. Even so i think they'll all sell at rrp after retirement. No idea whats going on with Batmobile something screwy there.
