One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Sales in full flight at TRU!

I noticed that and have considered ringing up and trying to get the saving they claim it to be. e.g. Chicago £45 retail reduced to £35 yet you save £20 so would they do it for £25 is the question.

Or is the £10 charge for the staff costs so they can kick it in at the warehouse and water it with a jet wash.

I see that TRU still exists, what a shame.

Some of the recently tagged "retiring soon" sets have 10% off now on LEGO Shop at Home.   But they can still be bought cheaper elsewhere

yes Lego SAH know the vw beetle promo will shift a lot of deadwood, will be interesting to see just how many will be available.

That and lower free shipping threshold. I´m guessing the 50% off sets will all be done by end of next week and maybe a couple of the recently tagged ones, although they are pretty much all cheaper on Amazon or TRU.

853568 City Prison Guard Keychain @ £1.99 makes orders eligible for a 30352 Police Car freebie as well.

I've loaded up on 75113 Buildable Reys @ £7.49 each and 853650 Batman Movie Maker sets while getting in on the Beetle action. Have to assume a differently-costumed Rey figure will be out soon for Ep VIII.

For some reason the Movie Maker set is selling for well, well over RRP on eBay despite being in stock at SAH. Wonder if people are unclear on what the RRP actually is.

Hmm.... a few days sooner than I expected. Glad that HUKD were slower off the mark. I'll just sit back and relax while you buy it all.

Here we go again.... another 6 months of QFLLs hogging eBay.,

The savings this time aren't as great though. Lot of sets at RRP unlike the sale before Xmas. Can still get a bunch of stuff at about 40-50% off RRP if you choose carefully, but personally I've only bought stuff for personal builds. Nothing tempting enough to hold onto.

I don't think we'll see the across-the-board savings like last year again. This may be as good as it gets. I'm only going for 3 of the smaller sets anyway. Vacation Getaway would be a good buy but it exceeds the Royal Mail small parcel dimensions.

Also the best sets to buy at Tesco are already on eBay making peanuts. Don't buy what the QFLLs have just bought otherwise you're in for a very long hold. The Arctic Roller could be tempting, but I already have one ;-)

I agree... nothing has tempted me to come out of hibernation either!

Buckingham Palace for the equivalent of £25? Not been keeping an eye on the performance of that one.

No point as it'll not been out long. I think the Guggenheim could be a good £20 profit flip once the QFLLs have died down. I ordered mine from LEGO instead for the 3x VIP, VW Beetle and to use up some old points.

I could be tempted by one set I just spotted, but what do I buy with ti to get the 3-for-2? No! I'm not buying multiples, those days are over.

Limit of 3 on somethings too!

Not if you place multiple orders! 20 limit per set is their guideline if you do this. Last year, I made a lot of 9x orders without a problem.

You could probably get away with 7 orders of 3, but you may get a call if you exceed this. Don't worry, they won't ban you - even I wasn't banned!

Please note that Tesco struggled to fulfill orders last time and my 99x Volcanoes arrived in 11 different deliveries! Some were boxed and some were bagged, but only 3 were damaged which I parted out.

First 3-for-2 outing for Ideas Yellow Submarine, so as far as I can tell that's the first meaningful discount it's had.

I've gone in on those, Doctor Strange and three each of Skiff Escape, Carbon-Freezing Chamber and Luke's Speeder.

was keeping a close watch on two sets in particular which were around the £34 mark on monday now £56 and £48 so its a no from me,as most of the other sets will be a long time retiring or have reached saturation point in the market the wise thing to do is to hold on to your money till October when most of them will be in the 3 for 2 then as well.

Shhh... I'd have told nobody what I bought yet as QFLLs lurk among us. I'd only mention it AFTER the sale ;-)

I'm guessing most people here are quick flipping as most sets you all are talking about only released in 2017 and have a long way to go to retirement.

Nope. A good price is a good price. I'm happy to stash and forget small sets. Unless it's a local cash sale the margins are too small for QF'ing.

Damn you Tesco for not offering international delivery. Sadface.

But you live in Sweden. So happy face.
