One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Used the Amazon UK £10 off deal to buy the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium.

Should I hold on to this as an investment? Tempted to build it :)

I bought one last year from Amazon Germany with a good discount. I built it and really really like this set. Will be on the look-out for other deals for this excellent version of the Imperial Shuttle (second best only to the UCS Shuttle).

I checked that site and I gotta say, you have some great deals over there besides this one.

Nice to hear, so what you think , is it worth to buy it ? :). Can you list few of lego's that is profotible to buy :)

The Rancor Pit has retired, a check on eBay sold listings will show that its performing nicely. I'd say it's a solid investment at the buy in price.

The best advice I can offer is look through the forum, there's lots of great information which will help you to choose an investment strategy that will work for you. No one knows for sure which sets are retiring next but do your research and you'll make money.

Check at this link the current value for this set - or any other set, just type the set number on the box top of the screen: http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=75005-1

With this information you can assess what is and what isn't a good investment. The value for a set indicated there is composed with the values from recent sold listings on ebay.

For instance, try checking the value for this set: http://www.babymarket.lt/lt/parduotuve/zaislai-ir-mokymosi-priemones/konstruktoriai-kaladeles/lego-star-wars-konstruktorius-millennium-falcon-75030-5702015121019/p31168

Important: don't buy if you don't have a way of selling - what is your plan for that? Each selling market has its price ceilings - even a great promotion can be a loss if you can't sell it through the right channels.

Thats exactly my issue. I dont want to bump prices so high to cover the fees. Was going to start with gumtree (uks craiglist) Any tips appreciated.

Quick question on mytoys.de deal. I just saw it today. Still have chance to buy few but I'm sitting on the fence as I think a better deal on the star wars theme could be had later as they are rather latest set and not retiring soon. Would love to hear some views on that. Thanks.

Argos offering Indominous Rex 23% off MRSP. Picked five up for myself :-)

Good spot. Not available for delivery, and none to pick up near me, but i'm sure it will be useful for others. Good deal

15% off at the Dutch site Bart Smit today. Nothing spectacular though.

42043 Mercedes Arocs is € 157,24. I bought Poe's X-Wing Fighter for € 62,99 (had a 5 euro birthday coupon as well).

Doctor Who (21304) £37.47 on Amazon UK.

That musn't have lasted long. Back to RRP.

You sure that wasn't a third party seller who is charging another 16 quid shipping?

Nope. Sold by Amazon EU with free postage. Why do they have these prices that only last minutes? I got 75105 for £93 last year and that disappeared in the blink of an eye too.
