They don't always. There's a glitch there somewhere, where if the gap is long enough you can buy over the limit.

Do tell about this "gap". I'm pretty much stuck with LEGO Shop at Home for some sets and have crept up to my limit already. Would like lots more but getting banned is not an option.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

LEGO UK will send you an email first cancelling your order because you've exceeded the limit per household. It's a polite email stating that these limits could be changed or even removed in the future. It's unlikely that you'll be banned straight away. I must have had about 20 similar emails in 2015 before I was banned. It was easily resolved with a phone call to the right person. Anyway, does it matter? LEGO's hardly the place to buy cheap sets in quantity ;-)

Wait a month and try ordering again or even call them up.

21108 Ecto1 is very available at LEGO UK with limit 5 and NO discount.

Agreed it's not the cheapest but for some sets for us in far flung Australia, its all we got. Will take your advice and try ringing in a months time.

Isn't Amazon coming to Oz soon? At least you have more sunshine and less overcrowding than the UK ;-)

It's a timing thing, I bought the limit on Ecto-1 in 2015, but was able to buy more at the end of last year. I've seen that on some of the limit 2 seasonal items as well, leave it long enough between purchases and the limit seems to reset.

75100: First Order Snowspeeder is sold for £21.99 by Amazon UK. That's more than 50% below Dutch RRP. But I can't be bothered with a set that doesn't even appear in the movie! :P

I frankly can't be bothered with any set that doesn't play a big part in the Original Trilogy. I only have the MF (£30), Poe's X-Wing (£19) & Resistance X-Wing (£23) just because I saw them dirt cheap in Tesco. Have you noticed that 10225 R2-D2 is also starting to fall in value?

I've gone in for a couple of the Pirates Chess, and added 1x Mini Micros 76063 at 50% off to get over the free shipping threshold.

Find it very hard to believe that there's no profit to be made at that price, and there's always the parting out route. It's not lost on me either that there's a new Pirates Of The Caribbean film out this year, and that normally coincides with kids everywhere suddenly having a lot of pirate-themed attire, officially-licensed from the film or otherwise.

Yeah, a bit on the high side once you add intnl shipping and no guarantee of box condition - and that it is a turd.

One seller sold a load at 180 buy it now they've also got a tumbler at 200 makes no sense they were going for higher on auction if you look at sold listings

Makes sense if you have cash flow problems.

Cant find his tumbler must have sold. Was going to have a look at what else he had that he was desperate to get rid of.

Cancel that found it.

2 negative feedback in 1 month, think I would avoid that if he was selling Falcons for half price.

Thanks, got one for my little boy and managed to grab the last 21019 Eiffel Tower, I've definitely surpassed my quota on this one.

I also spoke to them about the tumbler they were very keen to do a deal at a very good price but through friend and family they said I'm still covered it's just not common knowledge .

It´s certainly not common knowledge to Paypal that you are covered under F+F. Buyer beware.

Offer cash on collection and see what they say.

... and if they say um, yeah sure, why not, Carrying cash on you to meet an unknown person/s at an unknown address seems a good idea as long as you bring the A TEAM with you.

I´d assume you would meet in a public place. You could also make the paypal payment then to avoid carrying cash, done that before too.
