One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

I don't know what's going on there. Apparently it was at 20£ a couple of times last week as well. So far, I don't think anyone managed to actually nab one.

Tried to add a couple to my basket but they had disappeared instantly, a few people on HUKD claimed to have grabbed one. It will come back around.

As soon as it's announced on HUKD, consider it gone!

Please DO NOT post anything on HUKD without informing fellow BP members first.

Funny how I'm always out and about when CamelCamelCamel makes a hit ;-(

I only post deals on here when I come across them, never posted on HUKD before and probably never will unless like others on here have to help clear out a set we all want gone I.e. doctor who.

On a side note, Tesco sold all of their stock of Louvre's at the reduced price (£36?). Good price and even better if you saved an extra few quid by buying from Amazon France. You can't go wrong with that set at a decent discount.

http://www.tesco.com/direct/lego-architecture-louvre-21024/412-6392.prd?source=others

The problem is that Amazon have a limit of 3 and Tesco have a limit of 20. Tesco don't publish their limits but, you're likely to get an order cancelled if over 20 and by the time you reorder, poof! If you want to take the piss at Tesco, order 20 first and then give them a call if you want more.

That's one problem I don't have. I have my own spending limits which means I only buy a few at a time anyway. But as with the Trevi last year, I just pick them up slowly but surely over time when the deal is right. With most things I ended up with a good average buy-in on the recently retired sets this way. Like many more experienced members have said, choose the sets you like and wait until the price is right to buy :)

Guys just quick question.
There was a single day in the last 6 months where Lego Porsche Technic 42056 was available for price below 160GBP or eq in EUR as a result of sale/discount/clearance etc from any source? ASDA, TESCO, Amazon etc.

As far as I know the best offer for this set was due 3 4 2 event from tesco with the initial price of 230GBP or more less close to this price.

Yes. CDiscount in France had it for 115 or so, IIRC.

I think Tesco did it for £158 or something at some point a month or 2 ago. I deduce this from the fact that a staff member bought a couple for me at that point and got a 10% discount. My buy in is listed at £142 so it's somewhere around there I think. I havn't bothered doing the exact calculations so please don't beat me up :)

LEGO UK "Sales & Deals" sets are all now 50% off meaning that the Pirates Chess set is now £22.99 - limit is only 2 on most sets. I bought...... NOTHING ;-)

However, I will keep an eye out for Doctor Who returning.

I bought 1 x Pirates Chess and added 1 x Eiffel Tower to take it over the delivery threshold. There has to be a bit of profit in the chess set some way down the road that will pay towards the Eiffel Tower which will in-turn make a profit further down the road. Not bad for just over 50 quid anyway. You could probably sell the minifigs for more than the set on its own in a couple of months pretty easily.

I'd like to add the fact it's discounted as well in Lego Brand Stores clearly it's a fairly reliable shelf warmer.
The new chess set 40174 looks better and it's is much improved construction overall with reasonable price tag. Got one 2 days ago, very happy with purchase.

Or Ecto 1 being marked down. At 25 euros I am in for some.

That's cool. For £23 I'm not too bothered if it's a shelf warmer, especially as I only have one. Find me another set with that amount of minifigs and then additional pieces for the price.....

Edit - I was replying to the Pirates Chess comments. Val-E commented before I managed it :)

Beware though that LEGO counts all past purchases up to their buying limit, which severely limits how many one can buy from LEGO Shop at Home. :(  It's an advantage for people who have a physical Lego Store nearby and therefore can make 'anonymous' Lego purchases.

So far the limit on Ecto-1 is 5, but if it gets the 50% discount I'm pretty sure the purchasing limit will be set to 2. Might have to get creative then to buy additional sets through another account or something. ;)

They don't always. There's a glitch there somewhere, where if the gap is long enough you can buy over the limit.

I must be one of the few people on earth not to have reached my quota so far.....

Worst case scenario, phone order and no VIP account details.

I very much doubt that Ecto1 will be discounted, even by a penny. If it is, it'll be gone within seconds. What's worse is that it'll be back with xxS7 seal codes.
