One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Genuinely puzzled as to what you mean there? Maybe your meaning has flown straight over my head?

Yeah, that's true. But the new fan in the next couple of years will have missed out, and when the new shows come out and possible new sets (that you predict) they may want to get the original set. Only way to do that is to buy a turd from one of us turd-holders :)

Knowing the fantasy lego currently is lacking it will just be an updated set with a red phone booth.

Got to agree with Ciglione here. Doctor Who toy fans are more crazy for the old stuff than the new. I'd be surpised if it hit £ 80 over here in 2 years with the continuous discount it's had. If you got them in the £30 region double buy in might not be that far away by the end of the year. Overseas who knows !

who?

Buy in was £27 each for me so maybe that's why I'm more optimistic than some. They'll sit until the price is right (could be a while, as you say).

If it turns out to be a turd buy-in does not matter. Just you lost less money.

I think the term will be "made less money" :)

What a daft thing to say, course it matters. You think if we all had bought our exo-suits at 50% off we'd still be bitching about them, course we wouldn't, they'd have been long gone by now.

He could see all of his stock with a £27 buy in today and make an ok profit.

Now that is a daft statement. Buy-in does not influence popularity.

Doctor who ist TOOS, gj guys from poland, at 50off I would have bought 30 but 30% was too less for me, btw ecto please die!!!!

Only 30? This set is a dead cert! ;-) TBH... LEGO wouldn't have allowed me to order the quatity that would make it worth my while.

But it does influence making money and you said he would lose less money. There's no way he loses money at that buy in.

It seems all remaining discounted sets are now 50% off in Netherlands LEGO Shop at Home

I got myself some of these

Now the elephant in the room is Ecto 1.

People should be setting up scripts and gettin ready to F5 if it comes in at half price.

Asking for the almighty hammer of ban if you order a few though? I'll probably be at work if/when it happens anyway and I have my quota as it stands (although I'm always a buyer at the right price). Hope you guys get 'em if it happens though.

they halved the Dr Who here, sadly after it has been oos for a day, ironic

that ninjago might not be that bad, even if not selling at bricklink there are still some completed auctions on ebay for rrp
