Hi Guys

My better half has done some cleaning and binned my many lego catalogues.

Does anyone have two of the £5 voucher codes they could send me.

Cheers

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Perhaps he should divorce to remarry her and get a prenup that involves specific clauses about LEGO.

Wow, that would be a very costly prenup! Divorce expenses plus remarry expenses plus setting up prenup at a notary official...

Much cheaper to just go the extra mile to keep the missus happy. ;)

Hmm your link appears to be broken. this one should work.

It's a lightining deal. Lasts until set amount of sets is sold or time has expired.

This set has been discounted a lot. -40% is pretty common now. Makes me think it's a poor seller. I've picked up a handful at 60€, but I'll wait a bit too see what happens to the price before getting any more.

ARGOS
You get a £5 giftcard when you spend £25 on Lego at Argos (instore only).  Cant find any t&c's but the giftcard is valid until 20 Jan 2017.  Dont know how long the offer is on for.

Argos also have the usual £5 wys £50 / £10 wys £100 giftcard offer too. Giftcard is valid until 03 Jan 2017

I've been combining the offers...so getting 2 x £5 vouchers on £50 spend (provided atleast £25 is spent on Lego).  Till has been automatically giving the £5 lego giftcard (giftcard expires 20 Jan) but i've had to ask for the £5 wys £50 giftcard (giftcard expires 03 Jan). To help the staff i tell them the expiry date on the giftcard so they know its the £5 wys £50 i've still to get.  Not had any problems getting them after prompt.

Today (sunday) will probably have to use their price promise to buy different lego sets as i've exhausted most of the reduced ones.  Argos are funny as they only price promise if its available locally at the price.

Also need to return my bin liner wrapped pancakes to Argos.  Dont need to open the poly bag as i can feel one box but the rest have been flattened.

Amazon.fr:

If you have prime/premium for amazon.fr (or you sign up for a free month) you can get the 42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS for 193,71€ incl. shipping (at least to germany).
First time I've seen this one under 200€ incl. shipping

Too bad I am not a prime member. Under 200 euro would be my triggerpoint for this awesome set.

You can sign up for a free one month trial. Just don't forget to unsubscribe.

Yeah, I know. But I tend to forget about these things and then I am doomed.

I ordered another one half an hour ago. Last week Prime gave you 15% off, that turned out to be €197 then but we don't pay shipping to Belgium.

Sign up, order the Porsche and add an alert in the agenda on your phone... ;)

The only problem now is, when everybody is buying sub-200 Porches it'll be very hard to sell them short-term since a lot of newcomers are selling it for €10 profit. And who knows how long it'll be in production...

At least it takes up less storage space than a Death Star.

There used to be an option where you could choose not to renew your prime subscription beforehand. Worth checking -  a post-it on the fridge is a good back-up.

I couldn't ever be without Prime as I receive about 5 parcels a day (not LEGO). It was wortht it just to watch The Grand Tour ;-) JL in Reading had a couple of Scooby Doo Mystery Machines this morning hidden behind the VW Campers in slightly scuffed boxes for £20 each - I passed. Remember that they can often help if something you want is only stocked at a different branch. All you have to do is ask. That very tatty GBHQ is still in JL Reading as is beginning to become a bit of an eyesore now.
