Hmmm.... I could be tempted to start replacing mine but, there's always next year. Anyway, we have a power cut for the next 4hrs+ and I can't see jack on my piddly little phone. Just as well as the TB is just too big to store for another decade.

First of all check US Lego --> some sets with discount like 75105 or 60095 nothing special..

Thanks... I'll return my slightly dinged BWE to Asda tomorrow and get a mint one from SaH (in shipping box) instead. Should be £25 cheaper too! This could go quickly as big Technics don't hang around for long.

Will Quidco still pay this 11% as LEGO Shop at Home won't take the payment from your account until shipped tomorrow or the next day?

Stupid question but do they not give you vip points on sale items, because I have used quidco or some other reason?

You'll get points and can check in your basket before paying. Quidco will honour too as they go by date of sale ;-)

Cheers for the reply Tab, It says you get 0 points from this sale in the basket and I dont seem to have got any points from my other purchases this weekend! Guess no one else is getting that?

They will give VIP points regardless. They don't appear in your VIP points membership page until they ship the item or up to 48 hours afterwards I thiink.

Not sure I follow this . It's been out less than 4 months and flagship technic sets average 18-24 months.

First thing I've bought this weekend (been too tired with work looking at other things too deeply but this jumped out at me as a straight-forward good deal).

Just bought another Tower Bridge from Shop at Home with free Snowglobe & 11% Quidco + whatever Lego points. Decent deal that is.

He´s been at the sherry again. It was available at 125 on asda and amazon last week and should be back at that price down the line. This set will not sell as well as cranes or other plant machinery so there is the chance it could retire a bit early but the usual lifecycle is indeed 2.5 years.

Close, it was port actually not sherry! Either way, I'm swapping it for a cheaper and younger one with a nicer box - a bit like my other half! -)

That's what sold it to me, plus I only had one and it was starting to look lonely on its own.

quidco works only with LEGO Shop at Home UK orders only or I can change the country and order anyway?

Probably not, but it's not a bad price for what it is and to hold onto for a while which will probably be the case

..and let's be honest, it's probably the only great set that everyone wishes would just retire already and let nature take its course hoping that not too many people have stockpiled it in mega numbers (although many may have). It is one of the last great hopes. Iconic set, big set. A London Landmark which is more interesting to people in general than SOH etc etc. They just needed to retire this thing before Big Ben. I'm a buyer at the right price delivered to my door at discount and with free gift though. All day.
