I am considering taking a bimble to the not so local Lego shop (Manchester) Friday morning, I have never been near a shop on Black Friday for the obvious reasons, am I more likely to go "what the ****, sod that" and drive away empty handed?

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Always filter via suppliers and select tesco on 3 for 2 offers, as only tesco sold items count in3 for 2.

Only recourse is too return items I'm afraid.

That's what I thought. I'm in Ireland so the cost of telephoning them and sending it back might make it better just to eat it and try to sell them locally what I paid for them as it's marked Retiring Soon at SAH. The Escape Pod is a recurring remake so not much liklihood of long term growth for a long hold. Definitely no meat on the bone at slightly dearer than RRP buy-in, which it turns out to be with shipping and pound-euro conversion.. I'll sell early next year for what I put in.

A lesson learned.

would have been clear on the checkout page what they were going to charge. 3 for 2 discount is always applied prior to payment. Sorry looks like a newbie error. You can always send it back and get refund but it's a pain.

Oblivious noobing for sure. Still, at least it was for the cheap set.

I noticed that, I believe (might get corrected though) that if its from tesco it says tesco direct as the first listing but if its sold out from tesco the cheapest 3rd party is the top listing and the tesco badge is low down (stating sold out). As for recourse Im not sure there is through tesco as its the 3rd party but tesco being tesco its worth calling customer services at least.

Thanks. I won't make that uh-oh next time. That is if they have another 342 before Brexit kicks in and import tariffs sour the sweetness of the deal.

You need to switch search function to seller as Tesco only, they allow all sorts of 3rd party sellers now like Jadlam, although it is a little sneaky to keep the 342 symbol

It's the advertised 342  deception that galls. Some sets didn't have that logo so I assumed I was safe with those that did.

Apprantly some suckers waited for few hours for the new one in London. On a more important note they have 3 in London yet none near me I mean I don't expect one in Wolverhampton but at least one Birmingham perhaps.

The one in Birminghm shut down a few years didnt it? I remember something on the news about the lego bullring being found by some cleaners, think I may have kept quiet and slipped that out to the bins ?

Some of those suckers have been making a crap ton of money selling freebies from that store opening.  I'd have gladly spent a few hours waiting to earn 2k.

Does anybody know if there's any Lesters left? I'll be in London again this Friday and need to pick up another London Skyline that a buyer has just offered me £120 for. I'll buy another couple of buses to get the snowglobe too. I wonder if it'll be as manic as  last Thursday was?

Store is back to normal, I'm passing thru Leicester Square every second day heading to Picadilly line from Northern line.
No more scratch cards and no more lego shops excl. available there. Most of the offer from day one wasn]t even available on the second day even from early morning when store opening, all gone. Can't say much about London Skyline availability.

Thanks. I'll not bother now ;-)

Where is the Sandcrawler...???

It´s Turdy today, right? Not many investment opportunities on that list, so far.

Wrong - no one opportunity so far...

Oh yeah, I missed the Maze at the bottom of the list. In for 99.

Porsche 42056 now 180 quid in the UK as they all price match each other. Expect Amazon uk to do the same when they get stock. I wonder if they´ll get down to 11GBP like the Spaceport.

Now we have the European reality... no such long list as in USA, no doorbusters 50%...

Dont expect more items tomorrow.

Anyway, its half hour after midnight in New Zealand, and still no black friday offers there...

The SaH policy is HORRIBLE for rest of the world...

And there won't be any - there is no Black Friday on the Australian continent...

I am not sure, but I think there were black friday offers last year in New Zealand...

When you look on their side, there is no Black Friday information page...

Seems like that list isn't complete, there are reports that more sets are discounted in the new Berlin Store. So there's still a little hope for us ;)
