Can you imagine the pushing and shoving in the race to the check-outs? Not to mention tripping over unruly brats, sorting through dropped boxes and getting your shins bashed by pushchairs. Of course, it's basically a 3-for-2 but, I'm more or less sure that George will have to pull his finger out of his arse soon and give us some decent deals, right? Last month was the first time that I spent more than £12K on LEGO and it's not happening again this month! I need to offload about 2 million bricks to make space for next year's sales! Now... what could I MOC with that lot?

Why can't Xmas be every 4 years like the Olympics? You recover from one and there's another in your face! I know, let's move Xmas day to 29FEB ;-)

Seriously... The vast quantity of LEGO sets currently available is even making retailers struggle, not just us. This, I think, will result in another massive downturn for LEGO - they've simply got too greedy and have exceeded demand.

Yup, deals can now be merged with the bubble and Trump threads.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

The TRU offer is effectively 25% off, none of the TRUs in scotland stock exclusives or modulars, I would target those sets if possible, plus you get the £15 voucher and 4 minifgures

All depends if you can find 2 sets at the same price in store. I can foresee Ebay being chock full of DB´s Morros, Arctics and Buildable SW figs this time next week.

Is it not 4-for-3?

"I stand corrected"... said the bloke in the orthopaedic shoes.

How much more flooding can eBay take? Buyers aren't going to have a problem getting presents at a good price this year! There's no way that I'm listing anything until well into the new year.

The biggest threat to LEGO investing? Too many sodding sets being made!

if prices hold for £75 you could get 2 x Poe Xwing, the minifgure pack and the First Order General poly

Will Amazon price match? They have been doing it so far on TRU individual offers.

Damn, that'll be me popping into my local TRU tomorrow then!! Credit card is still glowing red from Octobers antics.

I spent over £25k in the Tesco 3 for 2.... More for quick flips than investing though. I doubt there's going to be a sale quite like that again this year, at least one at a merchant that doesn't damage boxes (that said tesco did send a few of the legos in plastic bags annoyingly, I hope that doesn't become common practice).

TRU have at least one recently retired Technic lego in a lot of stores (not for delivery) that might be worth stocking up on tomorrow.

All LEGO half price and 20% off a £100 spend at George from midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow!

I made you look, I made you stare, I made you lose your underwear!

Just kidding, couldn't resist it - sorry!

Let's keep any good deals between us and those on HUKD can just work it out for themselves ;-)

Are they shipping to Germany?

But only if you used online the ones picked up in store (if that makes sense).  Those act like a gift card.

From what i recall the ones you get when bought online are in the form of a coupon code which arent stack-able (could be mis-remembering mind)

You remembered correct.  Thats what i do.

Placed my click and collect order for

2x DB at 49.99 each

2x Arctic Truck 29.99 each

2 x technic race truck 59.99 each

I'll split transactions when i pick up and get best deal i can voucher and minifig wise

Will also keep an eye out for 29.99 morro dragons in store.

Guess I'll have to cancel my Amazon arctic truck order.

TRU Derby still has some IR, working out at £75 each with the offer. It was quiet as a mouse in store this morning too, was expecting queues

I managed to get 2 Indominus Rex this afternoon also, and finish my collection of all 4 of the minifigures boxes :)

PS4 dimensions starter packs supergirl version down to £30 then 3for2 at argos, bagged 3

76048 iron skull sub half price at smyths. Limit of 3 so add another cheap set and you also get the £10 off. Bargain!!

Is there any information about a possible 3-for-2 event at Tesco/George at the end of the month?

I'll be prepared for it. Is anybody expierienced in things like forwarding and paying methods at tesco etc. for costumers from Germany? If you like you Can sende me a private mail as well.

If we follow the same pattern as last year.  We’re done.  There may be a few Black Friday deals or single item sales, but we didn’t see any big discounts after the early Nov Argos 3/2 last year.   There was a Tesco clubcard boost that stacked nicely with offers and as that has gone away, we may see another tesco offer, but I’d be surprised if it were big. We’re getting to the time of year where retailers don’t need to discount toys.

Sales are really slow this year so you never know ....in the last years on any given Saturday in Toy stores where full with parents and kids and a lot of stock was already getting low - this year shelves are still full and resalers give huge discounts.

It's double discount time for staff at Asda in the UK they get 20% off all purchases online, considering that Asda have also lowered the price of much of their Lego it works out for some great deals. If you know any employees of Asda then take advantage. I've been stocking up on Scooby Mansions for £40 and SW sets. I've certainly been more than an annoyance to an employee friend and picking sets up at 40 to 50% discount off RRP. Death Star Final duel at £35 too!!!
