Even if you only got £25 for the figs, it’s £40 for just under 2kg new Lego, mostly grey.  

I sell 1kg of used grey for around £20.  At that price, I have no idea how you could lose money.

At least half of my eBay buyers demand a perfect box which means that I either have to discount the set heavily, or lose a potential sale. This does surprise me as even buyers of some non-investable sets like Coast Guard Patrol still demand a perfect box. Of course, this means that I can only accept perfect boxes myself or take a hit on any profit. If I buy a set to build, I don't care what the box is like but, I will ask for a discount.

Just order the same set from Argos and Tesco, take photos, list at the same time at the same auction start price and see which one sells for more. I've already posted a photo of Argos sets so shocking that nobody in their right mind would want to buy especially as a present for somebody else.

To be honest I don't think I've had a bad box from Argos in ages - maybe it's different from store to store, but the one in Belfast has always given me good boxes albeit with stickers which are reasonably easy to remove.

Same price in TRU UK, free minifigures for £45 spend, £15 voucher over £100 spend. Not sure if you get both deals stacked or not. There's no TRU near me to click and collect

Picked up some smaller sets yesterday all in pristine boxes.

Some tie fighters to pick up today.  Their stock numbers are very low though there was a number of targeted sets they didn't have 3 of.

Also noticed that Amazon UK stocks are heavily depleted. Hardly any tfa sets in stock. They do seem to be discounting sets they do have to price match Argos and Asda though so 33% off and favorable exchange rate for our European friends. 

I noticed the mixers at tru and thought they may be dead weight. Of course if we all think that, someone will make money.

The Fairground Mixer is a slow seller but I find that some exclusives fall into two categories:

1 - Fast sellers, which will have more demand but will have alot more sellers to compete with i.e. T1 van, Tower Bridge, slave 1

2 - Slow sellers - less demand & less competition i.e. SOH, Fairground Mixer, architecture studio

Or you can avoid exclusives in general, Depends what route you want to go down.

The way I see it is that the Mixer is the fairground set most unlikley to be remade whereas I would be willing to bet on a ferris wheel remake or the carousel. So the mixer is best if it devlops into a series.
