the girl behind the till just gave me it before I paid. Phone them up and ask if it's not to far to travel. 

I did 2 £100 transactions but only used the online code once. Was sat thinking today if I could have used the online code again, so made the phone call and they said pop in with my receipt and they would refund me £20, I did pick up 2 £15 promtional gift cards.(they have a Christmas themes on the face of the card) Which I think will be handy for small purchases like architecture sets etc

If Tesco drops the price after you've ordered, call them up. I was advised that the few 60124 Volcano sets I bought dropped by £5 so I called them, the difference was refunded straight away. Keep an eye on prices for 28 days after you order and you may qualify for this little "bonus". 

So... these RRP £80 sets cost me just £30 each in the end. I'm watching until tomorrow night to see if any other prices have dropped. At least it's a treat not a trick!

Their courier have emailed me to say it's 2 separate deliveries due to limited space in their vans - LOL. I hired a long wheelbase Merc Sprinter today to take it all to the warehouse once it arrives. The good news is that it's 33 boxes in total which tells me that they could still be in factory boxes - that really would be the icing on the cake!

Subject to remaining storage space, I've warned my bank that there could be another payment on my credit card tomorrow evening. I'm hoping that the Ecto1 drops in price - not only to buy but, also to get price difference refunded.

Sorry if my initial Tesco announcement has pissed off your respective partners! ;-)

UPDATE

I had emails from Tesco Direct and DPD an hour ago saying that my delivery will be delayed until tomorrow, 01NOV. The problem is that I can't commit to another date until 09NOV and I've spoken to Tesco to see if this can be resceduled. Of course, it's too big an order to fill up a neighbours house for over a week!

However, I've been given the £49.49 > £44.99 price drop refund and a £100 in vouchers for the delivery delay. Either way, I'll sort out something even if I have to get it dropped off at my local Express which will make me very popular - NOT.

At least I needed the van anyway to move a lot of other sets around.

Mine got delayed too!

But then ebay listings seem healthy and are selling frequently @ RRP so I can only see a jump in the future for this set.

I think a lot of last year's eager investors are living in fear of how much some "retiring soon" sets are hoarded.

I wouldn't say everything is awesome but less people wanting to play the game is not necessarily a bad thing.

Even my order is small fry compared to the amount in Tesco's distribution centres. Remember that a supermarket with say, 1000 large stores will still need say, 100,000 sets in total to satisfy demand assuming 100 sets per branch to meet demand. Therefore I only ordered 0.001% of their stock!

BTW... 53x 60124 arrived today with another 46 to follow next week. I've also got to pick up the smaller C&C orders but, I'll let them wait as I can cancel them if something better comes along. Once the 60124 sets start to thin out on eBay, my listing starts. I'm going just under RRP with automatic Best Offer for the first batch.

The next task is or order some custom double-walled boxes.

Interesting, 100 per store isn't a lot when you think about it too, so when you put it that way there will always be demand, even with these deals selling after EOL with a price bump even selling @ RRP theres money to be made if your buying a lot.

I tried to order from Tesco and forward the shipment but they dont want my money as my MasterCard isnt accepted and PayPal isnt supported

Next time they do one, I´ll try and set up a payment processing and delivery forwarding service for BPers for a modest charge! Let´s see if I can reach Tabby heights on clubcard points.

Tabby should have done a months free trial of delivery saver & and got a second Clubcard account for his orders!

I think he is more than happy to get late delivery and compensation instead. The warehouse staff must have his address burnt into their brains by now.

Yeah the £100 compensation was very nice. My order got delayed too. But it's nowhere near as big as his.

Hm, 0.001% of 100,000 sets is exactly one (1). It always sounded like you ordered more than that.
