Tesco's stock of Dr Who has gone now as well.

P.S - Just got an email from Toys R Us - £20 off £100 spend. Can they just stop all this lol! (shouldn't complain really)

P.P.S - And when you click on the Toy's R Us website they're also offering a £15 gift coupon upon spending over £100. So £20 off then a £15 voucher reward, by the looks of it. Maybe they're frightened of losing sales because of Tesco?

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

Due to circumstances fully within my control, I will not be held responsible for any divorces however caused ;-)

If it comes to that, give her the house, car, kids, cat & dog... Not the LEGO !!!

Unless it´s Nexo Knights, in which case take RRP as value.

If it was FRIENDS, it wouldn't have any value!

You are leaving money on the table with at least 2 Friends sets from Tesco. I don´t see ANY demand for Nexo, however.

You mean the rollercoaster and the bus?

If you had to choose between Technic Volvo L350F or the Technic xerion 5000 from Tesco which would you opt for?

Hello chappers,  been skimming this forum for about a month & thought i'd say hi :fan:

Was about to go to sleep last night when someone mentioned 3 for 2 tesco. ....didnt get to sleep until after the school run & so glad i'm off work this week.

Been collecting cheap lego (mainly 75% off) for about 5-6 years.  Think it might be time to offload some of that stuff to make space for this stuff although the discount isnt my normal buy in...but times have changed

Was i wise to wipe an entire line out so no one can buy it?  Dont usually QFLL but i didnt want anyone bringing prices down.

Well a monopol on a set does not seem so bad.

Unless you bought 100,000 + units, its very unlikely you have "cornered" the market.

Even people who buy 100+ of a single set on here is nothing in the grand scheme of things, probably only represents 0.01% of total lego production for that set

Only time that changes is when it is a limited edition numbered release / store opening items that are truely "limited"

There is always someone bringing prices down. Unless of course, you're the person bringing prices down.

Understand what u mean.  All i wanted stopped was anyone driving prices down as its widely available from the all the usual suspects.

RRP £30,
cheapest currently on ebay is a couple at £25, one at £27.50 and rest at £30+
Buy in was £14.

DO i sell at £35 or hold for next year as sure this will be chopped within a couple of month.  Probably just hold it.

nah chance.

This is a side line for me & the business is under my partners name. I pay too much tax and she looks after me

I try to keeps profits to < £10k for minimal tax purposes & hoard the rest for the next financial year.   Dont want to sell too much as dont have time so my prices are always above rrp (after ebay fees).

I agree... The most I have of any one set is close to 500 but, that's nothing compared to the likely 2,000,000 produced. That's why I think resellers still account for a tiny fraction of sales. Remember, there's probably billions of potential customers out there and just tens of thousands of us.

I know a really big player (not a BP member) who has pallets upon pallets of RD-D2, SSD, Fire Brigade, Haunted House, you name it.

It's about time we had another truly limited (and exclusive) 21104 or 41999.

Depends what the line was. Since you wiped it out, what does it matter now?
