Yeah but we actually have the advantage because using Fenix´s tip of buying UK gift cards and paying in Euros, we can take advantage of a good spot rate whenever we want down the line. You guys can only undercut selling while the pound stays low.

One Day Flash Sale (UK Only) MF at £149.99. Be Quick.

  • One thing I have noticed is that sets are plateauing at "a" price at n months after retiring. 10197 is around £300, it still has not increased in the 18 months since I sold my last one. 10211

  • Though this version totally blows the original away (and is from around where I live):

I wonder if the Americans ever had "proper" comedy like this.

TBBT made me laugh loads of times and some cartoons have been good, but it´s not the same. Look at what they did to The Office.

Theres one for Lego Ideas - Only Fools n Horses for us Brits since they did the Big Bang Theory set. Even make up a couple of Lego Figures to look like blow-up dolls for the back of the Reliant ;)

Yesterday it was 1 GBP for €1,13. This morning it dropped to €1,11 for a pound. When will it break the €1,10 per pound? :)

Apparently a 1:1 parity with Euro is predicted to happen sometime in the coming months:

The exchange rate almost reached parity about 7 or 8 years ago. So why not?

My wallet doesn't like the tumbling pound though with all those deals on Amazon.

Amazon Spain had 75102 Poe X Wing at 35 euros a shot, a couple of minutes ago. All gone now......

Let me guess ... You had a (big) hand in that.... ;)

The Reliant Robin would be great say, like this one:

I'm also a fan of TBBT and have a copy of this set but, no more as I'm unsure of it's potential. I think the Robin would do well as OFAH was one of the best ever UK sitcoms which (I think) also had a good folowing in Europe.

Oops... I've been derailing again!

received two packages.

My T1 Van from the Lego shop, including the London Bus (European box version), and second the Porsche from John Lewis. Not really happy with the Porsche. John Lewis did not use extra packaging, so the brown Lego box is now full of shipment stickers and someone, probably the DPD guy, dropped it, right on the corner of the box. So inside,  the corner of the Porsche box itself is slightly damaged.

Too bad dutchmen cannot buy from Galeria Kaufhaus, nice discounts.

edit: did you see this? awsome inside

I remember back around 1984/85 when GBP=USD and about 7/8 years ago when GBP nearly = EUR. The negative feelings around brexit is great news for currency speculators and a buddy of mine has cleared over £20K in profit since the vote. I've done a bit of trading myself but, not confident to go the whole hog so I'm only earning pocket money. I personally think that EUR will really crash big time once another EU country leaves (probably Denmark and what will that do to LEGO prices?) and Greece is bailed out again. The USD will be safe, provided that the Yellowstone Caldera doesn't pop! ;-)

I'm hoping that the UK will end up like CH as they've done fine without the EU.

Nexit with Wilder's nutters leading the polls.

Then Denexit then Frexit then Grexit then Spexit then Itexit then Turenter?

I'm so glad that I held onto my left over USD from my trip to NC & SC earlier this year!

It's all hype and scaremongering right now and I'm not affected..... yet.

The 35 euro X wings are back on Amazon Spain. It´s a turd party seller so buyer beware, though. I´d say there´s a 0.01% chance of orders being fulfilled.

In one years time I really hope we can look back and say "Wow can't believe I picked this set up at 33% off" rather than "What the hell was I thinking buying this piece of crap".

No dilemma for me. I own zero Doctor Who's.

You cannot compare Dr. Who with Back to the Future.

I hope you are right. If not, a screenshot has been taken for future reminders that you weren´t!

Not necessarily, but I do know how good our prediction record on IDEAS set success has been so far :P

Draw your own conclusions.
