Ahhhh, I see. That's indeed odd because the Lego LEGO Shop at Home shows €152.49 (£ 129.99) which of course is the correct RRP for the UK.

It's an "exclusive" in Australia. It's only available from a small independent toy shop (RRP is $59.99) for $69.99. I've been ordering O/S and picking them up for around $40 delivered. I'm up to about 30 in total. I think that the timing from the movie release and Xmas it will do really well in Australia due to possibly being a single drop.

 

I'm hoping for Antman levels....

Does Australia get significantly less releases (compared to US/Europe) due to its location resulting in most sets being hard to find?

As I'm guessing shipping from UK/US to OZ must cost alot so most people would prefer to buy from people in OZ

We tend to get one "drop" on the smaller themes such as JW, SD, Wall-E. We don't have access to a B&M LEGO store and a lot of our "customers" don't know of the existence of LEGO Shop at Home. If we pick right, we seem to come up trumps.

I find that a lot of the people I deal with are willing to pay a premium to have the stock come directly from Australia opposed to cheaper sets from the US or the UK - possibly due to fear of scams and not knowing how Paypal works.

Ant man final battle had a pretty limited span of 6 months and there were production issues according to some people (see the antman final battle thread). The shortage is what i'll capitalise on to reduce my stock levels. I'll leave around 5 - 10 for long term. We haven't really seen it hyped over here, I've only ever seen any material relating to the movie by actively looking for it.

 

We never received the Antman set due to the stock being returned to LEGO before it even arrived. Over the course of 3 months I think I churned through about 100+ Antman from LEGO Shop at Home.

There is another listing at 13.17€. This is very confusing, is it a box or a single figure? I thought it was a box so I ordered 5 at the initial price of 160€/piece back in May. The link to the order from May refers to this listing.

I ordered as well and hope it is actually for the actual boxes  The 6138972 code refers to the full box on Bricklink, so it is likely. Great deal!

I placed an order on August 5 when they were sold at a price of 150.04€
I have the order canceled yesterday and placed a new order of 5 pieces at 100.38€
But even now I still see four sellers on Amazon. Strange. And poof they are gone.

As you noted in the post above, they were gone really quickly. I managed to grab 5and feel very lucky for checking this forum so early today Thanks! (Now I hope my order gets delivered as well)

Thanks but, the 2 branches of Asda near me (Reading) have a limited range and all at RRP ;-(
