Just when I thought the UCS Tie Fighter I bought last Sunday for €170 was a good deal... Now I could buy one for €160 ! And Ewok Village with discount comes up to €201 (instead of €255). Tydirum Shuttle for €80 (instead of €100). Simpson's House and Kwik E-Mart also on discounted to €160 instead of €200. Great deal Got the obvious sets. Too bad they don't have S1 or SC stocked.

It makes me very jealous if I'm honest seeing good deals going on in other countries I'm hoping there'll be some discounted items from places over the easter period as it has gone very quiet over the past week or so in the UK
March 16, 20169 yr Went into my local Boots today in Wakefield in the UK. I was surprised to see that they still have 3 for 2 on various lego sets, including some star wars and super heroe sets. This included the buildable darth vader and general grievous figures. There were a few of each on the shelfs. I was surprised as I picked some of these up from Boots about a month ago and thought they would be long gone. I don't know what availability is like in other stores but worth a look perhaps. Darth Vader works out at £16.67 each if you buy 3. Seems a good deal to me and I think this and the general grievous figure have good potential investment wise.
March 16, 20169 yr I have a question for our German BP. With the upcoming 20% on TRU De I am thinking of ordering and pick up at a physical store as I might be in a Dutch town closed to a German store. My question is what if I ended up not picking it up due to unforeseen circumstances. Would i get a refund considering it is sort of a return?

Otherwise your reservation will be canceled and you will get a Refund.

March 17, 20169 yr Smyths in Ireland at least have some have decent reductions in store, haven't checked online yet. Shuttle Tyderium, Ferrari truck and Jokerland all reduced to €80. The cargo train down to €129 and The Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty down to I think €87. First Order Snow Speeder was also doen to €40.
March 17, 20169 yr TRU De has some pretty good deal on 42030 and 42043 with the 20% off. 42030 was reduced from rrp and after 20%, its about €143.

March 17, 20169 yr That's what I got from the TRU deal today. Unfortunately no 42030, 10236 and no Tie fighter in MISB condition
March 18, 20169 yr Slave 1 is now (since today) also available for 20% discount at TRU Netherlands: http://www.toysrus.nl/product/index.jsp?productId=44036061&prodFindSrc=rv

I told a colleague who is a LEGO Star Wars collector. He ran to his PC to order one too. He had already bid €170 on Marktplaats for one, but this offer was of course the better deal!

But i was wondering why are you also posting these deals on other fora like Tweakers.net ? A lot of our potential clients are there and you pointing them also toward these deals. When you're a brickinvestor you do not want that your customers have the same deals as you have. Whats the point. Keeping them in the dark is part of the investing strategy i think. No offense, just wondering.

Whats the point. Keeping them in the dark is part of the investing strategy i think. No offense, just wondering. No offence taken. Several reasons... - I'm not a 100% brickinvestor who's only in it for the money but also a Lego fan and collector, and I like to connect with Lego fans/collector's as well; - I'm not selfish but like to share a good deal with others who could also benefit from it; - This particular deal for the Slave-1 is a maximum buy 1 per account. If you want to get multiples this way you have to work with multiple accounts and maybe even multiple delivery addresses. Only hoarders will go that far while regular collectors are already happy to buy just one for their own collection. I posted the deal here first to give brickinvestors the chance to fill their stock first. - TRU has a certain stock for this offer, just like Ewok Village which is already unavailable now at TRU. When their stock of Slave-1 is depleted, I don't think this will have made a big dent at all in the future demand for this truly amazing UCS set. Tipping a few Lego collector's at the Tweakers forum won't make any difference for the future demand of the Slave-1. - "keeping them in the dark..." Sorry, but the "security through obscurity" principle is a very weak way to go and doomed to fail. Future resale value of the Slave-1 post-EOL shouldn't depend on whether some collectors managed to buy it below RRP as well just like you. The UCS Slave-1 is strong enough to stand on its own.
