Exactly.  The reason I don't post there is because I don't read it.  When the vast majority of the thread doesn't apply to me I don't even go to it looking for deals.  If a user is one of those rare people that can access both markets, they should be monitoring both market forums not expecting people to double post.  Just seems odd... maybe we will see a US and Mexico forum next in case people have access to both of those markets...

Calm down. No one expected a double post. Did you even read what I wrote. So uncalled for...

It's been 20% off for a while on there... I don't like that it's still available at that price... Are they flooded with it, or is it just not selling I wonder. Walmart still has a little over a hundre

This is all getting a bit blown out of proportion.

I don't think anyone expects Canadians to post every deal in the DD thread, most of us post here and regularly check the Canada forum for deals only due to the large amount of posts in the DD thread pertaining to US deals. Others have merely stated that some deals that -may- benefit the US members could be posted in the DD thread. We are after-all in this together! I know i have personally done so after posting here first. It's just a nice thing to do, but i don't think anyone is forcing you to post it there.

I think this is all a conversation for another thread anyways.

Lets try to get this thread back on topic maybe!? :D (not that this thread gets much traffic anyways).

Sorry if I came across as not calm, that was not my intent, just pointing out how I thought the combined deal forum was odd. Again sorry, wasn't try to ruffle any feathers.

Quit apologizing so much you hoser!

Fairground Mixer arrived today... Real bad shape. Probably worst I have seen for a box that is intact... Every seal is messed up but still technically attached and a big bar code sticker on the box as well. Dings and creases on boxes too... Going to send this back I think. How was everyone else's?

Mint, all of the ones to my business and my family's house. You can easily get a discount for it and still sell it plus I want one to build so that's an option too.

Received mine also..exterior shipping boxes were perfect, but 3 out of 10 lego boxes inside were crumpled or smashed in different ways. one box had loose seals. Looks like they passed off some bad stock among the good stock.

7 of them were perfect. I was also debating returning the beat up boxes

I had no major issues from the 10 I bought.  A few had some creases but nothing that won't sell.

What was more interesting was the seal codes.  All of them were 24R4 which is a very early run, maybe the original run.

Every single Fairground Mixer was mint, tightly packed 5 per shipping box... which is a pity, because I only buy to part out!

If you have several boxes which you are thinking of returning... perhaps you could ship me just the content instead, to Montreal? That would also avoid any risk of being flagged as a difficult customer returning orders.

You could try complaining to their customer service, they might give you a partial refund for the damage and let you keep the sets.

I would have been fine with box with some creases and stuff but the seals look like they have been removed and replaced almost and very stretched/crumpled... they are literally just barely holding on.  I don't want to open it to check that it is all there.

I am going to call them tonight to see if I can get a replacement.  This is the second time I have ordered Lego from Amazon and the second time this has happened where the boxes are REALLY beaten up.  Had a book before too where the covered was half cut off too... what is with their quality control, who sends out damaged stuff like that.  Kind of frustrating.

Since it's a set that should still be readily available, I'd go for a replacement if the box is that bad. I'm not a believer that a box has to be mint, but I don't like it when the seals look funny on a brand new set. Over time the glue will move around, seals will slide, but on a brand new set the seals should be in good condition.

It is frustrating but just remember - the person on the phone didn't pack it, nor make the policies about returns/exchanges/refunds. Be polite and it will work out better for everyone. (just some friendly words before you get on the phone to complain :))

Yes I am always polite when dealing with people, getting mad never helps the situation and only makes it less likely that someone will want to help you.

Damaged boxes from Amazon.ca with on-sale exclusives seems to be a trend. If i recall Sandcrawler/Ewok Village had similar problems with some members. Wonder if they see a shipment/skid is damaged and just put it on sale to move the product even if some are still in good shape.

Ah well no biggie, my EV's from a while back are slightly dinged up, but not terrible.

Sometimes it's hard though... Let us know what they say. I've always had good luck with Amazon.ca (all the Amzons) but it's good to hear about other member's experiences.

I have used their online chat tool several times with damaged boxes.  They offer a replacement or refund, but I politely say it is difficult to ship it back and then they offer a partial refund.

Just got off the chat.  They offered to replace it with overnight shipping and paid for the shipping back of the one I have.  They rep assured me the next box would be mint and that is all I really wanted so if that works out then that is a perfect resolution. They never offered a discount on the item but I probably would not have taken a discount unless it was pretty significant anyways.

That might just work for me... I have 3 or 4 that I can pass up. PM me if you are interested
