It's been 20% off for a while on there... I don't like that it's still available at that price... Are they flooded with it, or is it just not selling I wonder. Walmart still has a little over a hundre

Is anyone biting on the JW retirement? The next JW movie is scheduled for 2018, so there is about a year without Dinosaurs.

But at the same time, it was the movie that drove demand.

Thoughts?

I went pretty heavy on RE/Gal Trap, but not much else. I'm sure it will do well, but i'm a bit skeptical of how well given the amount of hoarding we've seen for this line. I think the T-Rex Tracker will be a dud though, maybe the helicopter too. The rest have some unique Dino's/figures/builds to increase their chance of success.

I'm with sandwraith (except I never found Gal Traps) and I think that the next set that does really well post retirement that also had a great quick flipping opportunity will be the first one in a few years (at least since I joined in 2013).  I'm not interested in these at 20% off, but I am interested at the 40-60% off that I have been able to get out of the US for some sets.

How do you know how many are left? Does it show it in the listing and I'm just missing it?

add it to your cart and change qty. to a number larger than they have on hand.

118 left.  Time will tell if it is a deal or not.

EV is guaranteed to retire. Assuming 1 USD = 1.35CAD later this year, or maybe 1.40CAD, if you bought at 280CAD after taxes, and you dump it at 280USD, you would still make a killing of 20-30% gains after ebay fees. This is almost guaranteed. You are guaranteed a minimum of 10% gains after EOL even if you dump it at 250USD. Imagine buying stocks and sweating hoping that your stock or mutual fund would gain 10% in a year. This one is a no-brainer.

In general the selling price online (ebay) in US funds, including shipping is the same as your take home in Canadian after fees.   This becomes more apparent as the value of the item and shipping converge.

If you purchase it at 280CDN, you have to sell it at 310US to make the 10%.

310US - 40.29 fees - 25US shipping = 325 Canadian at 1.33-1 (the bank isn't going to give you the straight exchange rate without taking a cut).

This set is still a great buy and a beautiful set but newer buyers need to know the "actual" cost of buying and selling so that they don't undercut everyone.

It depends on whether you got an ebay store. The shipping fees could be reduced depending on location. Assuming you are in lethbridge alberta, you dump it off at the Montana border crossing. Shipping might be less than 20USD if you are shipping to the neighboring 3 states. Shipping to MN state is only 13USD.

Guys in Niagara falls can ship to hot spots like South Carolina and NY for $12USD. Same state shipping could be less than $10USD. So there are tricks. People living in Niagara falls and flipping on ebay, better start cleaning.

Most people do not have a store and do not ship out of the US and the calculations are based on cross country shipping in the US and a standard ebay fee.  Of course, there are always cheaper options (like getting it for 150US before) but I am trying to help make all of the new members make better decisions instead of "buy buy buy".  The experienced members don't need to be told to buy this set if they plan to sell it :)

Noticed that Amazon seems to have found some stock for set

79015 - Witch-king battle. They even have it on sale. Wonder if they will find any other old stock.

This will be the start of a new thread dedicated to Lego sales, coupons, discounts, great finds, etc for the huge chunk of land that sits above the United States called CANADA.  We are not kicking the Canadians out of the US thread, but just centralizing all the Canadian content to one focused area.  There are a few threads out there for TRU and Walmart, so we may combine all of them to make up the Daily Deals thread.  I will also be publishing the updates for major retailers in here as well.

The $20 off $100 excludes Lego sets, but should work on Lego books, and the millionaire club 20% should work.

Quite a selection of sets on sale at amazon.ca for early cyber monday.

Wanted to include the link, but... it was long and ugly.

Hopefully you all can navigate your own way to the amazon cyber monday page... :-)

Lots of good ones on sale: Detective's Office, Service Station, Wall-E and Changing Seasons.

Tried to buy one but shipping is always coming back .. description say free shipping over xx amount what I'm over enough .. but don't apply at all .. Quebec Matters ?

Adding 15% tx and shipping is not worth the risk to end up with a beatten box ... need free shipping at least ...

Hi,  I am a newbie to this community. There should be an option to click for free shipping (it seems to default the order to pay shipping). I just put an order and it seems like it was free shipping but I am in Ontario.

Great idea! The supposedly "U.S. and Canada" Daily Deals thread was mostly worthless for us north of the 49th parallel.

Thanks. :)
