How to report a scam artist to paypal?

Featured Replies

I ran into a scam artist trying to sell me a comic book I want.  Dude gave me his paypal address.  Is there anything I could do to report his email he gave me?  Perhaps paypal can take a look at his account (prob fake).  I went to paypal and I couldn't find anyway to contact them via email ha.

Not eBay?

Send an email to the domain owner of his email suffix as they'll have his contact details but, you may need to go through the police first. If he's Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. you've got him!

What's the scam? Did he just not send you the comic book, ripped you off somehow or compromised your PayPal account?

PayPal should cover you anyway.

We never made a transaction.  I spotted he was a scam artist right away and got him to give me his paypal address in hopes of paypal taking action against his account.  I made a request looking for a comic and he replied to that post.

You go to "help and contact", then choose message center.  That basically sends them an email.
