Should I get the 75003 A-Wing or the 75012 Barc Speeder with Sidecar?

Featured Replies

Title says it all, but this purchase is more for collecting/building than for investing. I like both trilogies but I lean towards the old trilogy. Can't decide even after reading lots of reviews which one is a better buy. Thanks.

i think you should get the 75012 Barc Speeder with Sidecar. And if you haven't noticed the 75003 A-wing Pilot's head is the same one as the LOTR Samwise Gamgee's head.

I did not even realize that until you mentioned it. Good eyes!

To answer the original question, it depends on which side of the Star Wars universe you enjoy better. I have every A-Wing LEGO has done so I will definitely get this new one soon. Plus the pilot is really cool and finally gets his 'true' helmet. But I also like the other set as well. The Clone Trooper and two vehicles in that set are just great, and I believe it is a Wal-Mart exclusive.

Both sets have three minifigs and the same price. Hmm, tough call. I am planning on getting both eventually, myself.

just picked up 5 more Barc speeders... they rang up as 13$, but had 9.97$ tag on them... woo hoo!

For the minifig selection: definitely the speeder. It has Obi Wan and Rex. This is the best Rex done to date, and is a must for any collection, imho.

But, I also have the A-Wing, so I say go with both if you can as both are retiring.
