I only herd about the Black Gate.

A couple other sites have listed four of the rumored sets. I think you can check out bricket & brickipedia. I haven't seen any photos except the Tower of Orthanc, which I think is 87 cm high :)

There are I think 4-5 new LOTR sets coming out in June-August. A list was posted somewhere here in the forum a while back.

I think their also gonna come out with some pirate ship assault from the return of the king movie.

Very "in the know" types have confirmed Tower of Orthanc on Eurobricks a while back. I am cautiously optimistic, but they are the same that confirmed the Cinema a long time ago as well.

The new wave of LOTR looks very good. I'll definitely be purchasing for my own collection.

I hope they will come out with the trollshaws in wave two of the hobbit.

The set I'm really looking forward to is the inevitable Smaug vs. ? that will probably be released in the 2014 lineup. That one will be the one to get IMHO. 2015 Battle of 5 Armies will be another one to look out for. All theoretical at this point, but they have to be coming...

I agree with the Scribe, a Trollshaws set would be really epic!! Also, how cool would a UCS Smaug be!?!?!

Legos are expensive!!! That's just one of their criterias. I probably would never be able to afford a UCS Smaug, but looking at it in a catalogue's good enough for me.

The pics are on Brickset now! The Council of Elrond looks ok, The Wizard Battle is nice and The Pirate Ship Ambush is massive, but The Black Gate is VERY disapointing.

As some here have remarked, you really need a couple LOTR sets to get the full effect, one of them just isn't enough, the black gate can be upscaled with another. I was hoping for a much cooler eagle, they are supposed to be about the size of the fell beasts and I sure hope their fell beasts are going to be a lot bigger than that.

With the sophistocated bricks and animals they are producing now, there is no way that eagle should have happened. :(

Yeah, I'm disappointed they didn't give the eagle the ability to pick up stuff with its talons and gave it a flat plate. I am very much looking forward to see what they do with the fell beast, oliphants, and the fire beast in the first movie, not remembering its name right now.

The way these sets are coming along right now, I'm kind of hoping they won't torture us with a fell beast.
