New rumor starting floating around today:

  • The ultimate modular building.
  • Complete details will be shared once D2C has officially unveiled the product.  This will probably happen in November 2016.
  • Campaign will be created to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Modular Building line.

Launch Date: 4/1/2017 (April 1 or January 4?)

EDIT RRP: 2699 (probably in Danish Krone, which is around $150-$160 $400 USD.

No picture of the actually item; picture will be released in November.

The name is interesting. What would that be? Assembly can have a dual meaning of course, maybe it's a modular sized Lego store? Or what if they somehow came up with a modular sized 3-in-1 with three different building options? *mind blown*

I'm not sure I trust their definition of ultimate anymore. If the $160 price is accurate, I would guess that the Town Hall will still be much larger than whatever this turns out to be.

Could it be a street level square/park, something to build your modulars around?

we should see pictures this weekend. probably a BrickCon reveal.

I'm going to doubt we'll see anything until November, since, ya know, the pic above says pics and details won't be released until then. ;)

I would expect something more opulent than another EUR 150 modular. Plus, square sounds like it would contain several houses in form of square, but with this price limit they would be small.

The best way how to celebrate 10 years of modulars would be EOL of all actual modulars :-)

I thought that, except the description does say ultimate modular building.

Probably cafe corner with a UCS sticker on it considering the death star experience.

I think we all know what's going to be assembling in the square...

It will no doubt be the jewel in the crown that is the modular line.

Image result for redneck flea market

is that the reception for the kmart parking lot wedding you posted a couple of weeks ago?

the only thing more eagerly anticipated than the new modular announcement is whether any modulars retire ever again or if one or two modulars retire this year to make up for last year when none retired (or was last year making up for 2 retirements the year before???)
