A new collaborative project by Grant Davis and Jason Allemann brings what I think is one of the most original Lego Ideas idea yet.

I saw this and have voted immediately. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151695  Superb........

The book features a simple and reliable mechanism that pops up a structure when the book opens, and pulls it back in when the book closes. The main scene and surrounding details can be completely customized to tell any story you can imagine, - a cottage in the woods, jungle ruins, medieval castle, wild west building, space station, pirate ship - the possibilities are endless.

There is also room to store Minifigs and other accessories inside the book, and it features a locking clasp to keep everything securely inside when it is closed.

We suggest the set include enough pieces to build at least two core scenes and include anywhere from 3 to 5 Minifigs. A selection of extra Minifig parts could also be included so the actors can be outfitted for different roles, making them more suited to tell a variety of stories

I LOVE THIS IDEA!  This is why the Ideas theme is one of the best ever.  Just a clever design with so many options.  It can be a whole theme to itself.  Different sets equals different books.  You could have shelves of these books.  Wonderful.

Yes I can see pop up SW, SH, and Princess scenes doing very well like this. Lego can make the book itself one set .. Then sell us each scene as a different set that will fit or (activate) within the limitations of the book. It is a brilliant idea IMO.  Let's see if they run with it.

And we all know LEGO would love to have a set that they could retire, slightly change and then release at a higher premium.

Nice idea and it would be a cool addition to the line. Not an original one though as this guy has been building crazy pop-ups for a few years. The smaller version would be more suitable of course.
