Over at Eurobricks, CM4SCI posted a source revealed the next direct to consumer (aka "exclusive") will be Cinderella's Castle.  Brickfan reports it will contain minifigs (not the doll-like ones from Princess and Friends). Maybe a Sept, release...

By the way, I found this page at brickset. I expect it will be based on the castle at Disney World or the 2015 movie. Likely the WDW version  I also think this set will be huge if the design Is better than the last 3 2016 D2C sets. Disneymania will sweep through the LEGO community.

It won’t be Splash Mountain. I was thinking Haunted Mansion or Monorail but another Castle could be in line.

What's everyone doing with their 71040? Seems like more leaks points to another disney castle.

I have one built and one sealed.

Anyone still holding these? I managed to dump a few on cl. Can't believe we are getting death starred again.

The fact that it warrants a re release may prove to be for the best.

Obv the wait time sux, but most ppl will not hoard a rereleased set

It would still be better to dump the old one now and stock on the rereleased set once it retires in 5+ years, no? Especially with the holding cost being so high (buy-in and box size).

Got out all mine at pretty good profit.

Happy with it regardless of what ends up happening with the new castle.
