I guess TLG thinks: if the Dutch and Belgians don't mind paying 21% VAT instead of the 19% that Germans pay, then they also won't mind 10% higher Lego prices.  

Whoa... I matched the low price on Amazon FBM at $546 a couple weeks ago.  It hung out there for a few days - just me and  one other seller at the low price - until it finally sold on 9/22/16. Unfortunate that buyer was cross-country so it cost me over $30 to ship, but still pocketed about $60 and some VIP points. Saw more on the shelf at the store a few days ago. Thought, "double VIP... free promo... low price on Amazon is now about $560... let's sell another!" Bought it, listed it, and everyday several new sellers move in, and the price has dropped about $10 a day. Now available at LEGO Shop at Home on-and-off... now about $522 on Amazon... sheesh... the window closes so quickly sometimes. This one is starting to look like the Tumbler... or the 42056 Porsche.  No matter. I'm not going any lower. I just have one. If the window doesn't "open again", we'll be happy to build it for Christmas.

I'm not gonna start speculating until October.
If I have the opportunity to get my hands on one more, I probably would hold it until Xmas and then open it if I still have it.
This was just the first wave. Disney and Lego have a strange relationship, it's not clear who's wearing the pants.
The one thing I am certain about, is that there will be more.
The important question is where can it be bought?
If only from Lego stores and Disney parks, it could go very well.
But if it starts hitting retailers, forget it. Stay away until EOL.

We'll be lucky to see one anywhere else before 2017, or is that unlucky?

I just don't see why Disney wouldn't want these in their own stores. 
I don't typically see these large boxes in my Walmarts or Targets.
Occasionally in TRU, I just feel like it would fit well in a Disney Store, at a marked up price of course.

I heard They sold Cars in Disney store.
My Disney store says they seldom get Lego, but they do.

I wonder if it had anything to do with that theme being so bad. Then again, has anyone seen the toy story sets?

I got my 9493 X-Wing in a Disney store and passed on the 7965 Millennium Falcon at the same time. I can't recall what if any other sets were in that location. This was in a location in a mall. There are some sets on their website at times.

I sold a used toy story pizza truck for $50. Toy story has done well. Cars, not at all.

Disney Castle showing in stock at LEGO Shop at Home. I tried to add to cart but it wouldn't let me. Said to call CS. I called and they were able to submit an order for me. CS rep said reason it won't add to cart is because it is going in and out of stock sporadically.

Double VIP + Mini Advent + good xmas flip item = time to buy a few. I'm not pushing my luck by ordering multiples at the same time so I'll try for another tomorrow if it still shows as available.

i just kept trying to checkout and it ended up working.  i did use paypal.

only ordered 1 disney castle.
