I am jaded as my son and I are working on a MOC for a Lego Ideas submission, and I am not instinctively a MOC'er, so I just appreciate even more the brilliance in a set like this. Work of art.

If I have the opportunity to get my hands on one more, I probably would hold it until Xmas and then open it if I still have it.
This was just the first wave. Disney and Lego have a strange relationship, it's not clear who's wearing the pants.
The one thing I am certain about, is that there will be more.
The important question is where can it be bought?
If only from Lego stores and Disney parks, it could go very well.
But if it starts hitting retailers, forget it. Stay away until EOL.

They appear to be selling around 450-460 on eBay this week.
A few outliers. $390 a few days ago up to a $570 today. Maybe someone didn't realize there was a $75 shipping charge.

Saw a listing for Craigslist (posted today) for the Disney Castle for $475 with this little gem in the listing, "this is the sold out Disney Lego castle very rare and comes along once in lifetime."   Your window is closing rapidly my friend.

Hi guys. I am debating on selling the set I got the first day the castle came out. I was actually at the Lego Store for the new series of CMF and I was wondering why so many people were standing in line before the store opened! Lol. Needless to say I bought one. Should I post it today to sell, or keep it for myself? I want to build one but do you think a quick flip is wise?

I would look at trend of eBay sales / etc and understand the availability to non-VIPs via LEGO Shop at Home.

Depends on what you paid, if it was $350 plus tax, no. If it was free with VIP points then yes. Lego has stock held back for the general release on 9/1 so prices will drop further before rising prior to Xmas. I would either sell the figs now (look at what they are going for) and build the set or wait until December and sell the set. Either way don't open it.

Was going to purchase one to build, but then saw it at the Lego store and for some reason, as large as it is, it didn't look as "grand" to me.  Was expecting a lot more for the $350 price tag.  Still debating on whether to pick this up or not....

Haven't seen it in person but I'm wondering if the lower, grey section is part of the issue.  Too stark of a difference between the upper half.  Shrinks it's stature perhaps.

From the pictures, I still think they did a great job with it.  But, it's out of my price range.  Also, where do you put it?  Frankly, it misses for me because it's just too pretty if you know what I mean.  And too ubiquitous.  

I really want this but the UK SAH freebies have been poor in Aug & Sept. Guess I'll just have to keep stacking up the sets i want until London bus and double points.

Has there been any word is to whether this will show up at Amazon, TRU, etc? I am assuming it will similar to some of the other recent exclusives, but don't recall seeing.

About to go pick up my second one at the local LEGO store.   I suspect they won't last long in stores, either, once the weekend hits.

Yeah I know what you mean, the freebie is poor again this month, still can't believe Lego hasn't give us the London Bus, maybe we'll get a Yellow New York Cab next month!!

I did however by it on day one of the VIP event as I was really eager to start building, then watched The Dark Knight and ended up building the tumbler!? Maybe I'll crack it open this weekend instead as my son is chomping at the bit !!!

wait until they put 75159 side by side for $500. you will feel Disney Castle at $350 is a steal

I think the word is Eternal.... I can see releases of mini figs to fill each room years down the road.

Interesting language on LEGO Shop at Home in the US. I think it was similar for the Tumbler at one point.
