Found this lot on Craiglist for $500....Lots of older Star Wars.  I can't tell which theme is on the far right, yellow labels.  What do you think of this find?

Yep, the photo quality isn't great. Those are World Racers.  Other pictures on the listing show nicely sorted out Lego pieces.  Will have to contact if everything is complete as it isn't stated in the listing.  Looks to be about 100 sets or so, working out to around $5/set

Hopefully someone experienced with this sorta stuff will chime in soon before someone else picks it up.

Looks like there is some decent value there if the sets are mostly complete and in good shape. I would run it through the lot calculator if you can make out some of the set #'s (the pic is too blurry on my phone). Based on previous experience with lots of that size, I would be a buyer at $300ish based on the amount of work involved in pulling sets out, cleaning, assembling and listing them, not to mention the high probability of missing pieces.

Bought such a lot once. It turned out to be alot of work, too much work, to clean and sort everything.

Many sets turned out to be complete or almost complete. But many also were not.

It takes alot of time to sell used sets. Especially the non-popular ones.

Yes, I made money on the lot eventually. But I will never do it again.

Yeah, I could see this.  1/3 of the sets are City, which would be a grind to sell.  Looking at some of the Star Wars that I can make out, it would be a lot of work for profiting off of used sets.  No guarantees of complete sets.  hmmmmm......probably gonna stick with new sets.  Thanks for the input everyone.

I would be all over that lot...for $200-$250. As is its a bit high for what's pictured. Incidently, for the sets that I can id the best selling one is a city set.

Which city set are you looking at?

That set was also included in the lot I bought. Did not have the energy yet to check it for completeness. But now you mentioned it I might check it out this evening.:D

Hint: It's directly next to 3179.

You know, I was eyeballing that tower, but couldn't find which set it belonged to.

I will never understand the people that post pics of Lego they wanna sell. How about inside the containers. Hey, here's a pic of the closet they're in or a pic of the house they're in. [emoji849]
