Great. Even more superhero minifigures that are now worthless.

Dimensions please go away. Nobody plays you.

Supergirl in Dimensions is a different fig than from the Brainiac Attacks set.

Did they just swap the hair piece out?  Hard to tell of the torso print is the same.

Not sure.  I haven't dived deep enough into B&P to compare the parts yet.  Just noticed the differences in the hair pieces.

Bricks to Life posted some additional screen shots and a video of game play today.  They assure us it is not an April Fools' joke.

There's now a 75% off Cartwheel for Lego Dimensions: Lego Movie and Chima fun packs.

Two things - 1. Still not cheap enough for investment pick up. 2. I feel even worse for that Laval Dimensions pack that's been sitting on AWD for the last couple of months.

This is crazy cheap to me. I'm thinking these are going over like a lead balloon...

The Lego Movie ones may work as an investment if the movie becomes some kind of cult classic. At this price, people will buy and use them/open them. A lot less people storing them away. If you could sell them one day at MSRP, 75% profit =)
Chima... never investment potential in my opinion, but parting out....
$3.75 (-5%) for a minifig and some Legos, not bad at all if you have an outlet for them.

I picked up some cart wheeled dimensions today. A bit of a headache.

For some reason bad cop didn't qualify.

But the kitty 71231, and Emmet 71232 work for Lego Movie.

For Chima: Laval 71222, Eris 71232 and Cragger 71223 Worked.

The other head ache is that you can only have 4 per transaction, despite the fact there are two different cart wheels coupons. You can mix it, 3 Movie + 1 Chima, but 4 max.

BUT that's per transaction. The guest services lady explained to me that you can do upto 6 transactions a day.

So I did 4.

REVIEW:

This was my first time looking at them closely. I really like the builds for the lion (71222) and the Excavator (71212). The eagle is not bad either (71232). You can get some wolverine claws. Its nice to have a girl option with the Kitty.

I consider them $3.72 "poly" boxes with a little build and a heavily accessorized minifig. Oh and the little display plates. I think they're easily flippable for a small timer like me. Build up my eBay and BL feedback and make a couple bucks.

Since no one has mentioned it in here figured I'd let people who didn't know..well know lol. Disney has officially dropped out of the "toys to life" game. Depending how well Dimensions did it's safe to say we could see Star Wars and Marvel in the near future...which would be epic

I would encourage TLG to follow suit .

I doubt that Nintendo one does well and the only other competition is that skylanders. Maybe I am bias but I feel lego would have a much bigger appeal to a much bigger audience. From all the sales data that has been released (which is not much at all for all games) Lego seems to have done the best overall this past year. The prices on the packs (without sales) is the only negative I see. To have all of Lego IP in one game is pretty cool I think. I didn't buy the game when it came out waited like 5 months for price drops and such. Wasn't to crazy about it when I saw the trailer but I thought it's simple and me and the misses could enjoy it and we have!

Here's to hoping we see new stuff and added IPs like SW and Marvel

Here's hoping we don't. Dimensions degrades Lego as a collectible.

Disney is wise to get out now IMHO.  This toys to life phenomenon is coming to an end.  The kids are ready for the next new thing.  Once the new thing is here (whatever it is), it won't be easy to recoup the investment from the bargain bins.

I hope LEGO & TT can see this too.

Say hello to Virtual Reality. Kids now want Oculus

So far the best thing to arise from these Oculus Rift or HTC Vive games has been amusingly awkward "Let's Play" videos. I realize as with any new technology, it takes a good while before something above what could be considered a tech demo appears but still amazing for what they have accomplished thus far with the potential to be better. The controllers being odd handsets/sticks seem the most jarring from a glance to me. I would think something closer to a Power Glove making more sense considering the 'hands-on' interactivity they are striving for anyway.

Looks like GameStop is having a "Lego Day" this Saturday the 14th. They'll be giving away posters and have a special, undisclosed pricing on dimensions. I think at least one of my local GS is hoarding the iron man poly for this event.

Dimensions on cartwheel again.

20% off level and team packs.

GameStop has fun packs for 7.99 and team packs for 14.99
