Hi! Does anyone there have bought or have some photos of the oldest star wars display ever made? It was showed at Lego Immagination Center in Mall of America from 1999 to 2002 or so. The display was round and divided in three parts, Endor, Hoth and Tatooine. There was a nice Death Star on it, and there were the first jawas ever made and some more cool mocs.

Again, what's up with the 3 shield generators instead of 4?  What source material is LEGO working from?

Probably some random artwork they found.

There's some artwork where it has 3 rings.

The original Ralph McQuarri art even had 5 or more rings.

Thank you guys! I hope someone there has some more personal photos with details of figs and buildings.

Does anyone else find the two skeletons outside the moisture farm/hut somewhat disturbing. Were there no other Tatooine scenes they could think of?

In fact they changed the tatooine part after some times. If you see photos of the display in the years later you can see that everything Is the same, except for the Tatooine part.

Can’t say I’m surprised.  I can see the planning meeting now.

So we’ve got the scenes ready for the display. Now obvious we’re going with Death Star and X-Wing and we’d also like to go with a setting from each of the three movies.   Current plans are Hoth rebel base from Empire, Endor Imperial base from Jedi and a nice little Tatooine scene with the corpses of Owen and Beru to finish it all off.

What were they thinking?

Is that a film crew? Are they Tatooine News or is it supposed to be George Lucas and a camera man? Plus, why is there a second landspeeder on top of the farm?

The old lego and his misterys..

but of course a great display I think!
