This... this is the reason I will be joining Ed Mack and be among the first to see the new movie.

Interesting pic. Will Woody let the Wookiee win?......My guess is yes.

If he wants to keep his arms attached to his body...

Also, sounds like Battlefront II will update to include Solo: a Star Wars Story.

I dunno, I think they are diluting the brand by putting out all of these spin off movies. I might skip this one. Haven’t even seen the last Jedi yet.

The brand is definitely diluted, but I'm more worried about some of the garbage directing that's going on. Plus, personally, I don't really care about Han Solo. He's not a very interesting character to me.

But, just like the rest, I'll see it in the theater. I am part of the problem.

Feels a little weird, but I'm getting bored of just the Harrison Ford Han Solo. Kinda looking forward to this new actor take on Han.

That’s because Harrison Ford has been bored with playing Han Solo for almost 40 years. You could tell he was sleeping through Return of the Jedi.

One thing for sure, those hollywoodreporters love run-on sentences... geezz

Between the run-on sentences and the big word choices, I honestly could not tell if the so called reviewer liked the movie or not.  :P

Seriously, somebody needs to tell these people it is ok to use more than 1 period in a paragraph :D

It sounds like they liked it, but it has some issues...basically believing this kid is Han Solo.  Other than that, they liked it.  LOL.

Not much buzz about a movie starting today.  Jeff and I have 6 PM tickets.  Expectations are moderate, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

I'm still on a semi-spoiler boycott, but I'll be caught up after our 7:30 showing tonight.

I went to a screening last night. Meh. Not interested in buyiny any of the lego sets. I think the best characters were Lando and L3.

Did you like it more or less than The Last Jedi?

I get that impression about many STAR WARS products as of late.  They are nothing special anymore and expectations are always way too high.

I agree, 0 buzz here either. Might make it to DVD within a month but those are sometimes the more enjoyable films when people don´t hype them up to infinity.

Ehhh....less? Hard to say lol. My friends and I kept asking why this and this happened after we finished watching. I guess it was cool to see how some of the stuff happened (the kessel run, winning the falcon etc).

Ouch, less than the last jedi...i hated the last jedi ha. I think my friends still want to go see this.  Emillia Clarke might have someone to do with that.

Watching it Sunday. I'm going in with low expectations hoping it won't disappoint.

I saw it at the midnight showing earlier today. The theatre was about 1/4 full, although we were in the 2D screening so there may have been more people in the other screenings.

I enjoyed it. Much, much better than The Last Jedi (which I really disliked). Visually and tonally it's pretty similar to Rogue One, although more light-hearted. I'd say that if you liked RO then you'd probably enjoy this.

The cast was all solid, although Lando was in it less than I expected. The Han and Chewie relationship was probably the best thing for me. There were some nice touches of humour, although some of it did fall flat. Thankfully there was no RJ-inspired slapstick.

I was a little worried in the first ten or fifteen minutes that the movie wasn't going to work for me, given some odd character and dialogue choices, but after that things seemed to click into gear. I found it dragged a little between set pieces, although that's probably because I'm not used to the pacing of it. I had a similar issue with RO until I'd seen that a few times.

There were no major shocks or surprises, or things you can't see coming a mile off, with the exception of something right at the end which really comes out of left field.

Would I see it again? Possibly once more in the cinema, otherwise I'll just wait for the Blu-Ray. Maybe I'd have been a little more enthusiastic if my reaction to TLJ hadn't been so deflating.

Interesting to note that, yet again, there are scenes from the trailers that haven't made their way into the movie. I won't say which ones of course!

Question for mods: Is there going to be a thread in the Movie & TV Talk forum for discussion of the movie with spoilers?
