I'm not sure how often this list is updated or if it is real time. I notice I find some deals on amazon long before they show up on the list. I found an easy way to know of a deal is just to use a service like camelcamelcamel.com and/or put all items you are interested in into an amazon wish list and the. Just check that list a couple times a day.

I've been doing the Amazon Wish List thing and it appears to work ok for me.
