Are these fakes Some pictures would be very helpful, but the heads have changed over the years... especially the stud. Theories abound about the changes... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=87209

I tried and I can breathe through it but it was tough to get out."
March 8, 20169 yr Here's the article I was looking for... http://lego.gizmodo.com/5019797/everything-you-always-wanted-to-know-about-lego The stud was changed for safety reasons, but after some time they decided it was no longer needed. I think all new heads are hollow studs with no vent holes.

I think all new heads are hollow studs with no vent holes. Great article (though dated - almost 8 years old now). What struck me the most is this part, especially in light of the whole GBHQ Ideas controversy: Quote • How long do they take to develop a theme, all the sets, start to finish? Over the past few years we have been able to dramatically decrease the time it takes to develop and produce a new set. The average development period is now about 12 months from start to finish, down from 2-3 years previously.
