Limited edition non-numbered sets

Featured Replies

Today I saw some Limited Edition WWT sets for sale, these are official Lego but lack set numbers as they seem to only be on sale wherever the WWT in the UK is currently hosting a Lego animal trail. I didn't purchase any as the cost/brick seemed a bit on the high side, but looking at eBay now there's been a few that seem to have sold for roughly double what they'd cost to pick up (as a complete set of six). So, am I an idiot for not getting some or is awareness so low that nobody would have heard of them so demand would be weak?

Here's a link to a completed listing so you can see what I'm talking about: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lego-WWT-Wet-Lands-Animals-Limited-edition-Complete-Set-of-6-Brand-New-/291687099007?

Incidentally I only recall seeing 4 of the 6 sets available, for sure the Otter wasn't there. Worth getting the other ones individually or only really valuable as a whole set? Opinions welcome!

Don't seem to be, WWT is a UK charity and they seem to only be on sale in physical locations where they have the giant model trail running. As fast as I know that's only a couple of places so far.

Yes, they're from Bright Bricks, checking online the WWT only have nine sites and the tour has been to at least three already. On the plus side these are rare (500 of each), on the negative nobody's heard of them so interest will be small.
